With Kessel, Lupul, JVR, Clarkson etc talent on the wings is not what we need.

If anything with a Kessel extension looming next year plus the deals for Clarkson, Lupul, and JVR already on the books you guys need some young and more importantly cheap forward talent

I can understand to a point; we certainly have enough idiot fans who do the same poop. Just a bit annoying at times to see some people's crap before the morning coffee has had a chance to wake me up/flush any of yesterday's poop out of my system yet...

To be honest, apart from 1C, our forward group is pretty solid; We did of course finish 5th in league scoring last year. We really need another 1D to play with Dion (though Rielly may earn that spot there in a few years). We're also relatively well off for prospcts... With the exception of perhaps Rielly, we don't have any major stars like you guys do with Drouin, but many of our top roster guys are pretty young (ages 21-26), so I'm not overly worried there.

Agreed about your forwards but if/once Kessel signs his extension your top forwards are all signed to fairly hefty contracts which makes a need for young and relatively cheap forwards to fill out the lines.

But we do have the cap space as Ohlund will be LiTR and that's 3.6 mil.

Nobody anywhere is seriously saying Franson is worth Stamkos. Get a grip .
Stamkos is one of the top players in the world, and maybe the only guy you would trade him for would be Crosby.

It's a complete fabrication and cliche Leaf fans are not realistic about the value of their players.

His upside is too high regardless of his size. Besides "undersized" is being used a little too liberally here. Kucherov definitely needs to put on some bulk, but at 5'11" he is hardly small. With 1" more he reaches 6' and the whole size "issue" is no longer a concern. Just look at Killorn for example. Noone ever mentions his "size" as a factor or detriment yet he stands a whopping 2" taller than Kucherov. It is simply a bulk factor for Kucherov, size he is average but with his skill level he can more than make up for his "lack" of above average size.

In fact what was written above can also be used when talking about Drouin's size. Only difference is Drouin is already listed at 191 so he has some bulk.

Probably the the same as the other sixteen teams that passed on him too I'd guess? What was your motive with that one? Totally unrelated to anything we were talking about?

Dude has one decent season and all of the sudden he wants 4 million and TO fans think he is worth a 1st and a third. The season prior they would have traded him for almost nothing.

The guy certainly had a good season...but I would be wary of committing anything large to him.

He's just a decent defender nothing else. During the lockout he played for Brynäs in SEL and he was flat out terrible. 7th defender even some games. He's nowhere near 4m/season.

Panik and a 3rd or Johnson and a 4th.

Franson is not worth a 1st and a 3rd... he's had one real good year, and several decent ones.
