As the top floors heated to incredible levels (remember, the fire was aided by jet fuel) the steel girders that made up the building heated.

Once that occured, the building's floors on top started falling. The weight of them collapsing started taking the floors below them out - what they refer to as "pancaking."

I think theyd be smart enough to know that they made their point with the towers. Why blow up an evacuated building like seven which you seem to be hung up on. I can verify that two planes flew into those two buildings unless of course those evil republicans managed to slip a hallucinogen in my morning coffee.

I think the 'Inside Jobbers' slant on this is that in the absence of a controlled demolition that makes sure the building collapses nowhere but upon itself, the building would have listed one way or another when it collapsed. Kind of like something that aeronautical engineers call 'resonant yaw'. Basically, if a rocket is fired and has even the most minscule of wobbles after launch, the wobble intensifies until it will inevitably veer off course and go nowhere near it's intended target. With the WTC, the theory is that unless it were a controlled demolition, those buildings would have collapsed not directly downward, but veered to one side or another as they fell. Controlled demolitions strategically place the charges so that the building basically implodes.

At least as far as I understand it. That's my only foray into this.
