Anytime you can take the undisputed best in a certain role, that's huge. He's the undisputed best offensive dman in that draft as far as pedigree goes.

I don't know that you'd have to go to something like that. To me it's more about him having to be a lot better than a few guys drafted ahead of him as well as behind him.

It's kinda hard to be a steal at 5 to me. I went back to 99 and really can't find someone that I'd call a steal. Even 2009 which is still early, OEL went 6th and while you can make a case for him being better than Hedman, Duchene, Kane, and Schenn would you really call it a steal?

Don't get me wrong this has nothing to do with Reilly himself, just where he is drafted it's damn hard to be considered a steal. A very solid pick that took some balls by a GM, for sure.
