Thunderstruck is one I always liked to build up the tension before a faceoff. Even some European arenas that I've been to in the Czech Republic and Germany use it though most people don't necessarily know the lyrics, etc. |

"Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row ! - rnewman291
I just saw Sebastien Bach do a bunch of the Skid Row hits. Dude can still hit the high notes, especially on Monkey Business.

Hey JJ, great blog idea.
Concur with most of your list especially the Cult at numero uno.
I am going to see them at the Filmore with my wife on Thursday where they will be playing Electric in it's entirety and leading off the show with "Wildflower".
I see "Chelsea Dagger" bagged on here quite a bit but actually liked that song when I first heard it on the Sirius station Left of Center. So the fact that it became our goal song is totally ok with me.
Like Rage but not familiar with that song; not a Limp Bizkit fan. Mother's a great song and Bush is ok.
To your list I would add "Night Train" by Guns "n" Roses; pretty sure I've heard that playing during intermission for Kings games and sticking with the Cult "Love Removal Machine". Reasonably sure I've heard that during intermission at the UC. |

Haven't been to the UC in years but they used to play Ecstacy by Rusted Root and Metallica's version of Thin Lizzy's whiskey in the Jar. |

Stone Cold Crazy is another good one.
Ramones songs (pick one)
Also that dramatic trumpet/whatever horned instrument song that plays towards the end of close games...or it might be part of the intro im not really sure now. But that always gets me pumped up during Hawks' or Bears games. |

Stone Cold Crazy is great (Queen or Metallica version/either works).
Also, totally forgot about ELP's Fanfare for the Common Man to kick off game's at the UC. |

Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Battery - Metallica
Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue (Love the Chicago Wolves intros, no matter who they're affiliated with!)
The Joker and the Thief - Wolfmother
I think I heard Generator by Bad Religion at a game in Dallas, but I can't remember. Maybe it was a different BR song.
I'd love to hear the Hawks (or any team with red jerseys) play Into the Red by the Living End, but so few in NA have heard of them, so it's unlikely. |

A couple of years ago against the Predators Patrick Kane was on the ice during a stoppage in play and the Nashville organ player played Angela, the theme from Taxi. That was hilarious! |

How about for a Saturday night game against the Blues, we go with Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting by Elton John? |

I want only organ music.
The more Frank Pellico, the better. No desire to hear anything else at a hockey game. |

But then how do u put Limp Bizkit & Bush on your list?!
Horrible - jdfitz77
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing... wish nickleback wasn't canadian.... total blemish on the canadian music scene...
For me
Metalica for whom the bell tolls whn the habs go on the pp
And for the minute homer in me, canadas song for canadas game, the hockey song by stompin tom. Old, over played but cant help but smile when it comes on! |

One caveat: NO FRICKIN' NICKELBACK!! - John Jaeckel
If you play a Nickelback song backwards, you get a message from the devil. Even worse, if you play it forwards, you get a Nickelback song. - Dave Grohl |

Speaking of which, any good choices at arenas North of the Border? I could see Inch an Hour by the Hip working. |
