Gagner needs talent to thrive... Eberle didn't miss any games, but he played the full season injured.
Moulson is no slouch either... Boyes has always put up good numbers as well (if he even played on the first line this season, I don't even know to be honest) - laughs2907
Tavares brought his team to the playoffs something that Hall did not do. Tavares is playing with Moulson and Boyes. I know Boyes had a decent amount of points, but if you watched an Isles game you would realize how terrible he is! He made the first line worse. Every time he had the puck he would turn it over. The only reason Moulson has had 30 goals was because of JT. He makes the players around him much better. So maybe the points are close, but JT started to dominate the whole league this year and was a Hart Trophy finalist. I like Hall, but you can't say Hall is better than Tavares. |

Tavares has 195 points to Halls 145 points since Taylor has been in the league. That doesn't scream basically outproduced to me. - Dangles13
Hall had 3 more points in 3 less games. Was +5 on a team that was -9. Tavares was -2 on a team that was even. Hall played tougher minutes.
Not saying Hall's better, but the gap is slight, and people don't see it thanks to the media building Tavares up. |

I agree with most of this, but to say a single player brought his team to the playoffs is ignorant.
Ovechkin and Crosby had 106 and 102 points respectively in their rookie seasons and they didn't bring their teams to the playoffs. |

Clouts, I thought you said Klefbom was a shoe-in to play with the Oilers next season, in fact you pegged him as a possible calder, Norris & MVP candidate.
Now you say he's going to start in the AHL - maybe he's not as good as you thought he was because according to you, there's no way he should even be considered for the AHL. - newmy

Yeah I think Nick Schultz is going to get traded.
If we assign Larsen to the AHL, he'll need to clear waivers to get up here. Wouldn't be surprised if we went:
Schultz-Ference
Petry-Smid
Grebeshkov-Belov
Larsen
and sent old Nicky packing - Morris
I agree for the most part. Ference-Schultz shouldn't be the top pairing. Not sure who's better between Larsen and Potter, but my money's on Potter. |

I could see J Schultz playing well enough to get top pairing minutes. I assume if that happens then his partner will benefit. I have no idea what alternative partners he might have. Who are the L and R shooters on D? |

Schultz played #2 minutes this year. I still see Petry as EDM's best Dman as of now though. |

I never said he shouldn't go #1 (He most likely will)... I'm talking about reports saying he's going to be better than Crosby. You can go #1 overall, be a great player, and still be overrated. Take Tavares for instance... Went #1, he's an awesome player, but he is overrated. - laughs2907

Someone here once said it would cost Hall+1st for Vanek.
JT "was robbed" of the hart and wasn't even a PPG player
Tell me who's overrated. |

That's fu cking hilarious! Almost as terrible as my markov and kristo and a 2nd for eberle! Halls legit as is jt both would command kessel or thorton type trades(maybe not 3 firstounders) to pry them out of nyi/edm, if they were put on the market. That said I'd take hall or jt on my team befor kessel. |

He had help from teammates such as Okposo and Bailey, but I don't think they would've made the playoffs without him. If the Oilers make the playoffs this year, it won't be just because of Hall because of guys such as RNH |

JT was robbed of the Hart. The Pens were the best team in the east with Crosby missing 12 games and Ovi decided to show up for half the season. JT should have won it.
And that trade proposal is obviously crazy. |

there's a difference between being essential to success and carrying a team
If EDM's a playoff calibre team. They won't be without their best player in Hall |

I'd have given Bobrovsky or Ovi the hart before JT.
My point is the difference is so small between how good JT and Hall are, but fans think JT is a god compared the Hall thanks to the media |

Why even pay attention to the media? That's the landsberg type drama. You actually think ovi deserved that? |
