As soon as I saw the draft board blurred out I shut it off. What's the point of doing that
- PLindbergh31

Yeah that was dissappointing. But later in the video they had a lot of dialogue.

I dont think I heard Pulock mentioned at all

Between torn ACL's and Daniel Carver Jr, Eagles camp has been a real hoot.

Chip better get his gimmick offense crack a lackin'.

- PLindbergh31

Can't wait until Uncle Chip sees what it's like going 1-15 in Philadelphia ...that will be the real hoot

They won't be that bad. 1-15 is almost impossible to do. 4-12, 5-11 is probably more like it.

I think teams who passed on Jones will be sorry.

No question about it. I still think he was the #1 prospect.

I have a feeling MacKinnon, Drouin, and Barkov will help those teams swallow their sorrow. It was hard to go wrong in the top 4 this year,

Some might be saying the same thing about Aaron Ekblad of the Barrie Colts who is one of a handful considered a possible #1 for 2014.

I've always defended the Flyers' amateur scouts, and their 1st-round track-record is exemplary... but is anybody else disturbed by the lack of sophistication in the process?

First off, writing a bunch of names on big pieces of paper in marker? What is this, 1981? You're telling me nobody in the room knows how to use a laptop, projector and a spreadsheet program? There are home-brewed fantasy leagues that have more advanced pre-draft tool-kits than this.

No comprehensive numerical scoring system? No internal metrics being discussed at all? Week of the draft and they're refining their rankings based on who they think will "hit a guy with his stick" and general musings about who might have more "upside"?

Wow.

And, boy, do they love Mirco Mueller. I guess one Swiss dman just isn't enough.

I was thinking the same thing. It all seemed very impulsive. The older scout in the center of the room obviously has the most cache.

I'd bet many teams are like that and those who have solid draft records show they likely have equal voices in scout meetings.

#4 name was much too long to be Lindholm
check again.
Nichushkin
Lindholm

writing that out on paper, Nichushkin would be much larger.
Nichy was at #4. Unless they wrote out Lindholm in mega sized font

Even with time passing I still wouldn't have Morin in the top 15 of the draft of the board.

to me them having Morin rated #6... thats astonishing. almost as bad as Calgary selecting Porier(sp) 22nd, Feaster said he had him top 10.
I think ill be fine with it... however its a big ik move Imo... Zadorov wouldve been my pick for sure

They need another top 5 pick.

Reid went 5-11 his first year. I'd be surprised if they get more than 5 wins

I'm fairly excited for next year.

Losing Briere was a definite and replacing him with Lecavalier is huge. Dropping Bryz, and signing Emery at a fraction of the cost and being able to sign Streit with the savings (albeit at a steep price) definitely is a plus. Streit costs a lot but that's the nature of FA especially in dealing with defenseman. He is definitely a need.
