Chucky is much likely to be the better player, but Gallagher will be a fans' favorite.

Might be a rough season for the two of them, with the sophomore slump.

Then again maybe not as much for Gallagher, being the tireless dynamo he is.

they could have offered him a AHL/ECHL contract...maybe they did already. We'll see.

Looks like someone is desperate for some hits, maybe you should post a 9-11 blog instead.

If I had to choose between the two I'd take Galchenyuk.

EDIT: I suppose that should probably go without saying but considering all the hype around Gallagher last season, you have to wonder how many people might actually disagree with that.

Galchenyuk really came on in the last month of the season along with Eller when guys like Plekanec, DD and Ryder went AWOL. put up some impressive numbers for a 19 year old in very limited (and sheltered, admittedly) minutes.

as for moving forward, it's not even close. Gallagher has the potential to be a 30-30 guy if he can stay healthy and productive for 82 games at this level. Galchenyuk though, is just on another level skill-wise. he has the potential to be an 80-90 point top-line centre. he's much bigger and stronger too. both are gems but IMO will be on different levels in a year and a half.

Everything no.

I deal in prospects and the draft with all teams. Most of the bloggers give me the go ahead...those that don't...well whatever, I've never talked to them anyways regardless.

I was pretty bummed out when the Habs picked up Fucale and de la Rose, you guys had a good haul.

Buffalo had the best draft in my opinion though, and Habs & Leaf fans alike are going to have to deal with that in 5 years or so.

They have 5 years to mismanage them. We'll be fine.
