I find it a bit unfair to criticize Carter's playoff stats without at least acknowledging that he was playing with some pretty severe injuries that would have sidelined him had it been the regular season.
I will never question his heart or his work ethic. - MBFlyerfan
He played poorly in the playoffs. Injuries or no injuries. |

Everyone has biases. That is what makes all of us individuals. I don't belong to group think crap.
Kapanen deserves a spot on the team because of his play here. He earned it. Carter didn't.
Its that simple for me. - Flyersgod
Well maybe Carter will sacrifice his first born son to you Flyersgod. |

Foppa, Carts and Kapanen.
As for why I voted for Laviolette over Hitchcock, I feel he did a slightly better job as Flyers head coach. That said, If I was going to hire a guy today to run my team, I'd take Hitch before Laviolette. - Jsaquella
Wow, shocked you took Lavi. |

I'm really not sure what you're doing.
You're pointing out things that aren't even being talked about. You compared their rookie/sophomore years....
Look, obviously you love Carter. Grass is green. Milk is white. |

So you think Sami Kapanen is one of the 12 best forwards the Flyers have had since 2000?
I'm sorry but I'll take Carter's skill over Kapanen's heart. Everyone always acts like Carter is Nik Zherdev. The guy played through numerous playoff injuries and always committed himself to good two-way hockey. There isn't one GM who would take Kapanen over Carter while they were both in their primes. - PhillySportsGuy
Well, are we going All-Star team or are we going fit? |

To be fair, Cherepanov never really had a chance.......By all accounts, he was a very good player.

I think that's defensible, actually.
When Foppa played, he put up pretty great numbers. Someone else will be along shortly, but I think I read he averaged almost an assist per game or something crazy, in addition to the other things he did well.
The operative words being "When he played"...... |

I'll take Carter's best season over Forsberg's best season.
And it's a longevity thing.
Honestly, I can remember more about Forsberg being out of the lineup than in it.
And to think that we asked Roenick to waive his no trade clause so that we had room to sign feeble-footed Foppa.
But man oh man was it fun to watch the Gagne-Forsberg-Knuble line. |

Even though Forsberg was in and out of the lineup, he might be the best (or, at least one of the best) passer I've ever seen in a Flyers uniform. |
