it is ridiculous but I just stay off there. At this point enter at your own risk on a dee thread. I'm fine with staying here. NY178 throws a good blog up for us and we discuss it. There's no need to pour gasoline on anything and go over there I don't get why people keep doing it? Once the season starts this place will be going good.

To spell it out for you mongrels...why wasn't this an issue until 178 started writing a REAL blog? Why do the powers to be care now? Why do the real Islander fans get banned for very legitimate gripes whereas some other posters from other teams have attacked Dee personally and then it was laughed about by posters and nothing was done about it? Like I said, why the double standard and why the timing?

the really interesting thing is that I've been banned 4 times now (in the last month) I think? I have yet to make a personal attack on Dee. I've absolutely criticized her blogs for lack of fact checking, lazy shoddy work, team site fluff reposting and not knowing how the NHL system works.

I have no interest in making the attacks personal, I have no idea what she's like, it matters not to me what she looks like, whether she's male or female or how old she may or may not be. Personal attacks take place in the blog comments on every thread, yet are rarely moderated. Point out glaring errors and you get banned. The main point I made to her was if you're going to put your name to something, it should be of quality you would want associated with your name. And that being the only Isles blogger on the main page of this site should be viewed as a privilege, not a chore.

All that said, I've had a brief pm conversation with Eklund and will wait and see what the future holds, and will stay out of her (unlocked) blog comment section in future.

I do agree that something odd is going on with the way this site is moderated. When I can go into a blog of another team and find comments made to different posters using slurs that continue and are not deleted, but pointing out a gross error results in deleting all related comments, locking the blog and a ban, there is something very wrong with the way the site is moderated.

I enjoy NYI78's blogs because they provoke discussion and work has been put into them. I also enjoy the collection of Isles fans that frequent these comment sections because we do have some pretty indepth discussions, however if I'm getting banned as often as kencan, there's clearly something very wrong here.

I know based on my "username created date" I appear relatively new to the site, but I just wanted to say that it was the BD Gallof blogs that originally made me a regular hockeybuzz reader. Despite the Rangers/Isles rivalry, you guys are relatively a good bunch of guys, and deserve a competent blogger. Here's to hoping NYI78 gets the gig..Viva la resistance!

You must have failed to notice, people are getting banned in THIS thread, not her thread.

Its gotten to the point where our regular posters aregetting banned for little crap, whereas other teams fans have been taking cheap shots at Dee for years, and nothing was done about it ie, not banned,even for an hour.

Not true. They are getting banned after posting in her thread and hiding over here . They all posted an insult over there then came over here . The ban hammer will find them! I know this because I seem to always get notified by the banned like some kind of quasi lawyer or something? If you stay over here you're fine.
