Hall and Tavares are on the same path. Both are highly skilled and bring things to the game that any team in the league would want. By same path I do believe both will be representing Canada and both are leaders on there respected teams.

Man, i really could care less if he was. I like the Oilers more than i like the Islanders, I'm from Canada, and the Islanders are in the Eastern conference. I live in BC and watched the Oilers WHOOP the Canucks last year with a quick 4-0 start, i've seen the Oilers at the best, and i've seen them at their worst, but all in all they're a steadily improving team. THAT SAID, I've also seen Tavares single handedly lift his team. There is a confidence, and heir to his game that cannot be denied. There is a serious maturity he'd undergone last season, that IMO Hall hasn't gone through yet. We'll see this upcoming season, but at this point i have Tavares wayyyyy ahead.
- Rysko81

I live in vancouver also (richmond to be precise) just cause you have seen a game or two doesn't mean you know anything about Hall and his game.

But for something you don't give a (frank) about you certainly like to argue it.

I am sure there is a Hall one just the same...I noticed that there was quite a lot of Jr hockey in there....just saying, cause you know Hall was 2 time MVP there...

JT is more dominant at this point in his career, its really simple to understand that, that is my point. Hall is a good little player, but he's not on Tavares' level yet. Tavares took his game somewhere else last year, he was incredible.
- Rysko81

Hall year 1: .64ppg
Hall year 2: .86ppg
Hall year 3: 1.11ppg
Hall year 4: ???

JT year 1: .65ppg
JT year 2: .84ppg
JT year 3: .98ppg
JT year 4: .98ppg

Looks like Tavares may not be on Halls' level.

JT is fantastic, and I'd love him on my team, but Hall is right up there with him, if not better

In fairness, Ovechkin had a great deal amount of hype when he entered the draft stratosphere...the Panthers even tried to draft him using the logic that without leap years, he'd be eligible for the 2003 Draft.

Go... Survey fans throughout the league.

Let's see what Hall does this year if Eberle and RNH are healthy instead of injured.

Andddddddd...

PPG per year:

Hall 1st season: 0.65
Tavares 1st season: 0.65

Hall 2nd season: 0.86
Tavares 2nd season: 0.85

Hall 3rd season: 1.11
Tavares 3rd season: 0.99

Tavares 4th season: 0.98

All while having a better plus/minus on a sh1ttier team.

it's not about the stats kid. get over yourself. the overall play along with his leadership on and off the ice is what separates the two. hall will be great, no doubt, but JT carries his team. hall hasn't done that yet.

Pull out stats all you want. It doesnt matter. Hall is a great player, no doubt. Maybe even one day he will be better. JT carries his team. He is a better overall player, not including the leadership qualities JT has on and off the ice. Anyone outside of Edmonton would take JT over Hall.

OK, "kid"... This clearly proves that you never seen Hall play (especially this season).

Kid... What's up with these little digs? "Get over yourself"??? WTF are you talking about?

Of course I watched him. I actually have been cheering for the Oilers alot the past few years. both teams have been pretty much in the same boat for the most part. Im just saying, posting stats doesnt account for everything, and thats all you oiler fans have been doing, as is theres some huge difference between the two.

No, Oiler fans are saying that both players are in the same class/league... Something that some people believe (for some reason) is not the case.

So? It was posted in order to demonstrate that both players are in the same class/league... Anyone who actually watched Hall this year would know that he is in the same league/class as Tavares. Hall dominated every shift he played this year.

Im not claiming Hall isnt a dynamic player. He is. Theres just something about JT. He's saving a franchise. Take him away, the Isles are bottom 5 in the league. I just feel like if you take away Hall, yes the Oilers will obviously be worse, but theres so much offensive talent on the Oilers (RNH, Yak, Eberle), I dont see the Oilers dropping off as much without Hall as the Isles do without JT. but listen man, im not hating at all... Hall could very much show me something this upcoming year. Theres no doubt Hall has the potential to do that, im just saying I would take JT over Hall RIGHT NOW.

Oh I agree that Tavares is more important to the Islanders than Hall is to the Oilers right now... I attribute that to the Oilers sucking ass for so long and collecting 3 firsts... That said though, this year Ebs and RNH didn't help Hall much at all. They were both injured all season. I think this year, the Oilers would have had a much better draft pick if it weren't for Hall... I'm glad they took Nurse though.

BTW, I bet Strome will have a great year this season. He'll probably be nominated for the Calder.

He might not make the team outa camp. Nelson and Donovan look to be the ones that are gonna make the jump. If bouchard goes down to injury, look for strome on the wing.

Besides being a hell of a hockey player, Conner is a great kid. He lives with my cousin during the season so I get alot of the behind the scenes stuff.

Nope. Would have been awesome if Edmonton took (frank)ing Seguin instead

Edit: EDM is my second favorite team it works I guess. Nice to see Ference there now.
