I agree, but none of the Edmonton picks are on the level of Mcdavid. Hes top of the line like Crosby and Tavares. The kid was over a point per game in the OHL as a 15 year old on the second worst team. And he dominated the U18 WJC playing against kids 3 YEARS older then him.

The Flames have committed to a rebuild, but they've already said they won't be OK with constant futility. Reality is they will probably be bad this year and next. But I don't see anyone saying I hope we lose every game this season or next.

No I'm pretty sure that he's going to a canadian team enough stanley cups have been won by canadian players on american teams... (frank)ing annyoing!! Wouldn't mind seeing the flames have a chance at a franchise player.

... have you looked at the Flames roster? In all honesty, if I only have to project futility 2 years out I'm a happy camper.

People poop on the Oilers because some of the fan base was (frank)ing obnoxious about your team. Like holy poop we are the best because we drafted Hall, RNH etc. The only response to this is, no... you are not the best, in fact you were the worst and that's why you drafted them. If Flames fans start bragging about their top picks making them an instant favourite for the cup etc. then I'll be right on board your hate train. Until then, we accept our fate for the next couple years and just pray it won't be the same length as Edmonton.
