Not gonna happen because anyone outside of oiler country would take tavares over hall. I've been watching them both since they came in the league, as I'm sure most of you have as well. Tavares is amazing in comparison, hall is great no doubt but if I could pick between the two it's an easy choice. I would assume 30/30 GMs would say the same even if you oiler fans don't see it, I bet macT does

every player will look better than they are when they go against the D (and fleury) the way the pens have been playing in the playoffs, its not a knock on tavaras coz he is great

i would take tavaras over hall

all im saying is i wouldnt base things off of playoff performances vs the pens in the last couple of years

to be fair he did that against fleury and the pens defense, who hasnt shown that they can stop a beachball

tavaras is very good but you cant base it on one playoff series where the pens make bryzgoalov look good (last years playoffs)

You can't compare Hall and Taveres, one plays centre, the other plays wing. It's like comparing Mike Bossy to Bryan Trottier, Steve Yzerman to Brett Hull. Both are great players, both are getting better, both you can build a team around, so in that sense they're in the same class. But who's better? I alway go with the centre. That said, Hall likely has a lot of hardware in his future.
