That entire league is a mess. Can you imagine if the Flyers purposefully decided to not actively pursue a coach, unload the captain and payroll, tank an entire season, in the hopes of getting a ping-pong ball that allows them to draft a 18-year old.

That the 76ers are not the only team purposefully "tanking" this season is a nightmare scenario for the league.

It has to suck to play for the Devils. Nothing about the area, the fans, or the arena appeal to me.

I love making fun of the Devils (because it's pretty easy), but I can take the other side of this.

1.) You get to play in an organization that is always in the hunt for a Stanley Cup.

2.) While the arena is in Newark, there are very nice places to live in North Jersey with good schools, as well as close proximity to New York City if you want some night life.

That's all I got and that's from a guy who think the Devils franchise should be moved to Canada or Seattle.

I dislike the NBA for the very reason you state. The league is pretty much rigged.
