Garth you really love getting behind crappy sabres players. STAFFORD SUCKS. He has sucked his whole career. He does not play good defense at all and is as streaky as it comes in the scoring category. The guy floats around the ice constantly and gives half ass efforts two out of every three games. He has been this way his whole career. HE SUCKS. I would trade him for a 2nd round pick in a heart beat. I would replace this bum with a young player with fire and determination in a hot second.

Replace stafford and leino with younger players with tons of upside,heart and determination and the sabres instantly become better as a team.

Stafford is gone after the 2014 season, yes?

Likely that he will go to Minnesota to play with Parise so hopefully he has a solid season so that we can deal him at the deadline or draft next year. If he is working on his game, it couldn't hurt in that regard.

Sorry Garth This Blog is a Fail ! The only way for Drew Stafford to redeem himself with Sabre fans is on the ice. As they say " Talk is cheap " without action on the ice all this talk is pointless . And even posting a blog about this just pisses the Sabre fans off . In other words Put up or Shut up Drew.
Your cheerleading of this particular player just rubs everyone the wrong way . Those of this that so feel so inclined can listen to Hockey hotline live or from the audio vault on WGR's web site . Making a blog about it is weak . I am usually a big supporter but not in this case.

I got half way through reading the blog, and thought Garf was finally quitting. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Inner self reflection the only thing worse than that is that I clicked on the blog to read about, hasn't he done this 2 or 3 times before, his inner self reflection crap then there were those stupid pre-season video's he did, there is no way he goes to Minnesota, why the hell would they want him ??

Talk is cheap. STAFFORD never gives a full effort, he doesn't use his size and he used to have more interest in his stupid band over winning games. Trade him to Edmonton for 2nd rd pick.

He must have lots of introspective time in the line at the bank cashing his 4 million dollar paycheck. If there is a god, all I ask is that Drew comes out of the gate on fire, he scores a bunch and we trade him for someone younger with potential. I don't think he can lead anyone out of a wet paper bag. Like our defense, Darcy needs to crate competition among the young forwards that will eventually fill out our top 6. it's much easier to fill in the bottom 6 through trades and UFA signings. We can't have forwards in the minors expecting a position with the big club without putting in the effort.

I'm starting to wonder whether or not he just misspells things on purpose.

3 goals in 20 playoff games for Stafford...that's right up there with Matt Ellis's 1 goal in 3 playoff games. Yeah look inside yourself Drew.

Garf, when you're doing your exclusive interviews with all your best buddies like Millsie, Vanek, Staff, Freakorenko, Pegs, the Goose, et al, do they just call you Garth too? When they send you invites to their weddings or their kids' birthdays do they just put Garth on the envelope? I'm guessing you're just as anonymous to them as you insist on being on here...as in, they have no idea who you are either.

Why did he waste money on new skate blades? Stafford is among the best gliders in the league.
