I loved this blog.

And, btw, ask any random non-Flyers fan what they thought of attending a game in Philly. Most will tell you they were impressed/shocked/relieved that they got out alive.

Philly was not that bad, worst is Vancouver. Those fans are complete d-bags.

LA was pretty rough as well, lots of young Latino males who let you know where you should go.

One of the most fun to wear your teams jersey on the road is Edmonton, lots of fun banter but you never feel threatened. (Detroit was surprisingly the same way)

Oilers are so interesting, the NHL TV networks in the US pretends they don't exist.

That's because, in my opinion, the EDM/CGY rivalry is very much symbolic now... The two teams share a good-natured competition. This is why Eberle can don a flames jersey. Much less bitter rivals now than 20 years ago... Now the EDM/VAN rivalry is bitter to the nth degree.

The Islanders are by far the most interesting team in the NHL. Cray cray owner, backup goalie for a general manager, residents that won't pay for a new arena, claiming goalies that won't report, trading for Tim Thomas's rights, etc.

Jeez you would think the most talked about team in hockey would make that list... I'll take your word for it though

I assume you're referring to the Leafs. They are the most talked about by Leaf fans but that's it. The days of everyone caring about the Leafs are over. Vancouver gets more air time than the Leafs now. Maybe when Toronto puts together a decent team people will care about them again.

I say flyers obviously, we always do something drastic and crazy, good or bad, and lots of drama. Always makes for interesting seasons

I don't get how the oilers are the most interesting team. Obvious you follow them and the west, but the east gets all the attention, realistically I don't see a west team in top 5, check tv ratings. There is zero interest in the flames, they would be 30th for interest, no offense to flames fans, but its a rebuild, no one cares.
