Your assessment of the Flyers is laughable. It's the stereotypical rant of someone who really knows nothing about the organization or the fans. How exactly have the Flyers lied and cheated? The fans are a freak show? Really? It's like you copied and pasted a comment from a Pens fan. Philadelphia fans are extremely passionate and knowledgeable. Yeah there are drunken idiots, like EVERY other fanbase. We just have a rep that is repeated ad nauseaum by uninformed media types who have never even been to Philly. I'm surprised you didn't throw in "snowballs" and "Santa".
The franchise doesn't shy away from big moves, but atleast we're consistent playoff participants. And You're really gonna throw stones when the Oilers have had one good season season the past decade? Replacing Briere with Lecavalier was a huge upgrade. I'd take Emery/Mason over Bryz anyday. And the Streit contract is questionable but if we hadn't signed him the Oilers sure would have (for more money). That's a good offseason and we didn't have to give up any core pieces. And the Oilers #1? Please. There are far more interesting teams... how bout Toronto or Dallas? Now I understand why Oilers fans complain about you all the time. |

1) LOL?
2) Montreal should be in the top 10, but 2 might be a bit high
3) wtf is interesting about the Rangers? They were pretty interesting in the 90's, but now that torts is gone, there is nothing there worth talking about.
4) Detroit is only interesting because they somehow continue to be one of the best franchises in the league despite the fact the entire city is crumbling around them (and yet they managed to get a 700 million dollar arena approved) Could see a case for them being in the top 10, but not at 4
5) I'll give you this one. Hawks are an interesting team.
6-7) You sort of have to have the bruins and the penguins on the list because (frank) you thats why.
8) Agree with Vancouver. Drama drama drama. Idiot fans. Diving. Epic Playoff collapses.
9) Agreed, but should be higher
10) I find nothing interesting about the Kings at all except that they won the cup as the 8th seed. Not even sure they would exist if it wasn't for the Gretzky trade. - NEEDSMORHORCOFF

Vancouver has to be number one--that circus their management has put on is like a horrific accident you can't look away from.
I am fortunate enough to get to cherry pick a handful of games from my employer's season tickets--I chose Edmonton and Colorado, mainly for the group of young up n' comers they have. Very excited to see them live.. - bluepulasky
According to Esplen and his sheep ery little ting gonna be aight. Don' worry bou a ting.
Seriously though everything that has happened to this point has gone exactly to plan and 9th was the best offer they got after secretly shopping Schnieder for a while.

OK .
Yeah, we're all pumped about the way things have gone. All as planned.
So pumped about not having enough top6 forwards, a proven 3C, and a mediocre bottom6.
Everything is peachy... |

I agree about everything except the not enough top 6 forwards...Sedin/Sedin/Burrows Booth/Kesler/Kassian is a perfectly adequate top 6 providing they can stay healthy
Also how is Richardson not proven as an adequate 3C? He won a cup with the Kings...was decent before that also...he never hurt a team... |

I loved this blog.
And, btw, ask any random non-Flyers fan what they thought of attending a game in Philly. Most will tell you they were impressed/shocked/relieved that they got out alive. - Maxbone
Flyers fans are no worse than any other fanbase. This is so stereotypical of someone who's never been to Philly. The most belligerent fans in Philly are Eagles fans and I've sat next to Cowboys fans at the Linc with no issues whatsoever. It's totally overblown by ppl like Cloutier. There are idiots in every fanbase, not just Philadelphia. In fact, I was almost punched by a drunken Pens fan in Pittsburgh for wearing a Flyers hat. It's not just isolated to southeastern PA. Try spewing something other than the typical bias towards Philadelphia. |

Great troll blog clouts!
All the leafs fans crying about not being in the top 10 = pure comedy gold.
Newsflash: Nobody cares about the leafs except for leafs fans. There isn't ANYTHING interesting about the team. They haven't been relevant in what... 40+ years?
The only thing interesting about the Leafs is their fans. It's fascinating how decade after decade they consistently view themselves as the center of the hockey universe and any player that is ever discussed as being a potential trade target is somehow linked to toronto. Every. Single. Time. - NEEDSMORHORCOFF
Yes. Leafs aren't interesting. Yet what team is your post about?

I think this goes to prove the team you find most interesting, is the team you like the best. The Second most interesting teams are the ones you hate the most, followed in descending order the most popular teams in the news.

This year I think he'll be better than hes ever been, anyone that has watched how luongo plays, he plays far better when he is pissed off, also the olympics are going to have a big part of that play too...past this year, meh i do not know...the only thing he can do is sit out and not get paid...or he can play where he intended to play for at least 9 years of that contract he signed not long ago... I personally think he switched agents because he didn't like the image he was given...which is why i believe he kept posting on twitter...he has to create his own public image...the real him...not some pissed off guy like the media and his agents were portraying him to be... - annoyance_101
This year he wants to play well so his game will improve unlike the last few years when he wasn't mad enough? |
|
|
|
I laughed when he said the pens won't win anther cup because its a team sport and they spend too much money on few players. Because Crosby, Malkin, and letang are the only players that produce on the penguins haha. What a dumb article, almost as stupid as the "trade wars" |

He never showed anger at the situation...last year was only a half season...hardly enough time to get pissed off at a situation...he knows its a business...he was more than happy to take the 64 mill and stay in Vancouver for it...i notice you didnt even mention the olympics...you know...the last year canucks made it to the finals was the olympics right? |

I assume you're referring to the Leafs. They are the most talked about by Leaf fans but that's it. The days of everyone caring about the Leafs are over. Vancouver gets more air time than the Leafs now. Maybe when Toronto puts together a decent team people will care about them again. - woopstash
Ahahah, that's why Saturday night games of Tor @ Van are at 7PM ET.. If you're really trying to argue the Leafs aren't the most talked about team may god have mercy on your soul.

I have high hopes for Kassian, but until he proves he's a top6 forward, I won't consider him one. Perhaps I should have specified "proven."
Booth is a wildcard. It's been a while since he's produced at a top6 pace. Obviously health has been a huge issue.
Again, a lot to prove, but I'm not totally confident in him, and don't see why anyone would be.
Richardson was a healthy scratch for LA for a good portion of last season, and their cup winning year. He has a ring, yes, but that has nothing to do with how capable a 3C he is.
He played wing for LA the majority of their cup winning year anyway.
He's a good 4C, but still a downgrade on Lapierre, and would be one of the weakest 3Cs in the NHL.
Just because a player never hurt a team doesn't mean you should be optimistic about him as a 3C.
And I would honestly be shocked if he was the Canucks 3C this season... |
