I have no idea as you don't whether or not he will develop a d side to his game. But in a interview with Mike Eaves, Eaves stated that both Gardiner and Schultz will always struggle bad defensivly. - Bieksa#3
There is a reason Eaves is coaching in the NCAA instead of in the pro leagues somewhere. Just because he failed to help them improve doesn't mean somebody else wont be successful. |

So what u are saying is his WJc and NCAA resume isn't as impressive as your Kinko's resume? |

Just joking around, honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Schultz never became a maven on the boards, often stayed in the play too late, and had trouble wrangling power forwards in 1-on-1 situations. That describes a lot of great offensive dmen and can still yield a successful player. |

Exactly. I think if I was the oilers I'd be happy with a guy that turns out maybe slightly worse then Mike Green. Guy can still contribute in the top 4. |

Based on what besides he is a young black man?
You should be fired for that comment. - yaktalksback
He's been in a couple of bar fights here in Winnipeg, he has trouble keeping his nose clean. |

I think the entire Atlantic division is interesting. Detroit now in the east will bring up the compete level... That will be interesting. Ottawa for sure will have plenty of eyes on them. Maybe a full year of Karlson, Ryan and Spezza together... Very interesting. Boston lost some key players but added Eriksson and Iginla.. Love to see how that works out. MTL add Briere and we await a new season post Norris for PK. Will Parros make a difference against teams like TO, OTT and BOS. TO signed one of the biggest UFAs on the market adding one of the best 3rd line C in the league not to mention adding a talented Bernier to compete with Reimer after leading his team to the Playoffs. Interesting. Tampa loses Vinny but add Fillipula. As long as they have Stamkos, St Louis and one day Drouin, they will remain interesting. Buffalo has some work to do but they still have Vanek, Miller, Hodgeson and some talented young prospects. Don't know much about FLOR ... Gomez? Huberdeau is great.. Barkov! |

So why don't you guys create a new group, blog spot, facebook page, twitter, or any other place to talk about irrelevant crap? You hate it soo much yet you are here everyday! As are the others so that SHOULD tell you something! - undisputed_8821
Shoot, that would take coordinated efforts, why would we want to do that? I like it here, I just think the blogs suck.bullsh1tting with the fellas on here is fun though. |

One day? you really think Drouins not going to make that club this year? they need to prepare him for the end of St Louis' career...basically trading Vinny for Filppula was just insane...I think Tampa took a step back by doing that...Florida has Markstrom, Barkov, Huberdeau, Gudbranson for a good young core to come...if i were playing in that division...i would be scared to play the panthers in a year or 2...people arent giving them enough credit...just like people arent giving the oilers enough credit... |

He doesn't make me angry. As an Oiler fan, I can see how he drives Canucks and Leafs fans nuts, but then again he admits that to be his intention half the time. He does say some ignorant sh1t though. This season he became an insider and really , that's more laughable than anything. |

Ya, that's my single problem. He can bad mouth teams all he wants, we have freedom of speech. He can say dumb, uninformed stuff all he wants, if people actually buy into it that's their problem. When he claims to be an insider who has more knowledge than the rest of us (which he obviously doesn't), it frustrates me a little. |

Really, what irritated the most was after Mac T signed Acton, Hamilton and Joensuu, I was interested in learning more about them because I didn't know much at all. Instead of doing a little research all we got from Clouts was "meh"! Sometimes I think it would nice to get a bit of journalism once in a while. I guess that's why we have the Nation Network, Pronman, TSN , etc... |

Richard Cloutier: Which Team is the Most Interesting in the NHL, Part 2 - Maxbone
Regarding the Anaheim trade for Ryan. He was headed for UFA at the end of the season and ha no intention of re-signing in Anaheim. His time was up. I hardly call Silfverberg(2nd rd pick), Noeson(1st rd) and a 1st in 2014 a bad return + the salary they save, almost $5m in salary. A decent young team, who I might add kicked your Oilers ass several times AND made the Playoffs. When was the last time you went? Oh yeah, 2006

Easy....don't take your frustrations out on the Oilers, focus on the offender. |
