Does anyone know why they accepted such a lousy return? They got a lousy return? Silfverberg is a great piece to have along with a 1st? That is no lousy return... After their Getzlaf and Perry contracts, they needed to trim down on a bit of salary so they can pay for guys like Palmieri, Etem and and now Silfverberg...along with Fowler, and Fasth...not to mention getting Noeson |

Everyone has an opinion. Having an opinion shouldnt garner any respect. Respect should be earned, not handed out like halloween candy because some fat kid hiding behind a costume knocked on your door. - systemtool
I agree to an extent but I still wouldn't be blatantly offensive about someones physical attributes for having an opinion |

Well, if you're going to allow people their right to an opinion, however biased, unfair, offensive and illogical, then why shouldnt people have the right to voice their opinions on others physical attributes? Lets not be half assed about this. Either we hold people accountable for the comments they make or we dont. Lets not pick and choose who can say what and when. |

You've said far more crap than what I said and on a daily basis. You're no saint. What can I do to get your respect back cause I need that validation very badly. - Ihatebrianburke

Saying that he's fat isn't an opinion...it can be taken as fact and an attack...having an opinion is something completely different...no one should be attacked for their opinion... |

Sure it's an opinion. A 90lbs person can see a 140lbs as over weight, where as a 190lbs person can see a 140lbs as slim. Its all subjective. An opinion is an opinion, and if one person can freely voice theirs, so too should everyone else. |

OK sure granted use your "freedom of speech" I will continue to use class and respect while addressing people. Something that MOST humans use in regards to each other. |

It's one thing to constructively criticize someone, but to out right bash them is a terribly stupid thing to do...What if Cloutier was fat because of a medical condition...and you went up to him in person and went HA HA you're fat...thats not an opinion...that would be considered a form of bullying |

Im not saying, nor have I ever said, that people shouldnt speak with a level of class and modesty. What I am saying is that people shouldnt be exempt from accountability as a way out of justifying their comments or "opinions".
Clearly, Cloutier had no intention of actually listing the interest level of hockey teams in the NHL but rather posted his list of a meaningless popularity contest. Speaking more from an emotional stand point, than an factual or accurate vantage point. Much like ihatebrianburke did.

But in this case, how far do you have to go before your "opinion" of someone becomes bullying someone? |

This list is as stupid as someone calling someone else fat. I think both sides in this case are idiots, on different levels.
