Ah oops, yea i think some of those 4 right now could reach the top 10...but not THE top of the top 10...none of them will reach gretzky and messiers level ever...i think saying 5-10 is far enough... - annoyance_101
It will be hard for any of them to be as good as Doug Weight was too. My favorite Oiler of all time and the last player to get 100 points on the team. |

Pretty sure Hall and Eberle will get past 100 points at some point in their career |

Hall, maybe. That's a huge plateau. I doubt Eberle hits 75 again |

We'll see, I think under the right coaching both will get past 100 though...but points arent everything either...I'd possibly make a case for Semenko as 1 of the top 10 |

in the past 3 full seasons only 6 players have hit 100+P. I think the world of Hall, but it'd have to be a pretty lucky season.
Semenko . Then McClelland is top 15 lol. No attitude intended |

Semenko seemed to be a big part of their dynasty in the 80's...i don't think Oilers fans...at least you...give him enough credit...as I said...points are not everything...Sedins are proving my point about that every year |

Weight put up 100 points with Zdeno Ciger and David Oliver as our top 2 wingers that year. |

I wasn't suggesting weight wasnt a great player in his prime...just thinking there were better players that played on the dynasty team in the 80s is all
I think without Semenko on the team, other players would have probably taken more liberties with Gretzky |

Petry had 0 PP points. So I'm thinking he had little to no PP time. - TheNugeIsHuge
NHL.com has Petry at :35 per game on pp as opposed to 3:21 per game on pk.
A little more than I thought, especially for having 0 pp points. |

Obviously there were better players on the 80's Oilers.
Semenko was good, he did his job. There were a few others that could have come in and done it just as well. |

Yep thats totally possible...thats why I wouldnt have put Hemsky up on the top 10 of all time forwards on the oilers is all...but hey thats just my 2 cents |

I wouldn't put him ahead of Craig Simpson but I would put him ahead of MacT |

If Hemsky is one of the top 10 of all time...MacT should not be trying to trade him at all...and he wanted to earlier this summer |

my guess was under a minute. If EDM's getting, I don't know, 8 minutes of PP per game and someone's playing 35 seconds, not much should be expected, especially in a shortened season. 0P is surprising but Petry had some bad luck early in the season and was always playing top lines |

Hemskys injuries have definitely not helped, but I think a lot of people forget how good he has been, and he is just 30. He still has a lot to prove to be a definite on a top forward list, but there is an easy argument to be made to include him. |

from when he was 22-28 he was a star.
It's like Lu in VAN. Just because he hasn't been valuable lately doesn't mean he hasn't had a good career. |

if he can do what he's done so far for his entire career, which should last at least 10 more years, then I'd agree, I just think its too early and he's been too injured to include him |

Simpson's career was too brief. I wouldn't put him ahead of Hemmer. Especially considering the players simpson played with and the era-ish he played in |

I think Luongo still has more value than Hemsky (skill wise)...but that will never be proven because of the moronic contract he's linked to but i get your point...wasn't he always still injured between the time he was 22-28 though? He reminds me of Salo...great when he's in the line up, but hardly ever could stay in the line up regularly |

Petry seemed to have a bit of bad luck all throughout the year, I believe it was him who scored a game tying goal on Dubnyk late in a game against Detroit I think.
But ya, he didn't get a lot of time so I am guessing it mostly came late in game when the oil were winning or losing big. Most likely the latter... |

ya. Somewhere in the middle of Lu and Booth. Like booth a great player that suffered through injuries and was labeled as a poor player and bandaid because of it. - TheNugeIsHuge
Yep I would say Booth and Hemsky are comparable, just Hemsky has stayed a little more healthy than Booth...injuries suck in general |
