Petry seemed to have a bit of bad luck all throughout the year, I believe it was him who scored a game tying goal on Dubnyk late in a game against Detroit I think.
But ya, he didn't get a lot of time so I am guessing it mostly came late in game when the oil were winning or losing big. Most likely the latter...

ya. straight wristed it into EDM's empty cage tying the game(to later lose in OT). Apparently he was pretty affected by it.

He shot at a higher SH% than last year and still had an above average on-ice SH% this year. What was his PP time last year?

EDIT: 1:16. Hmm. Not like that 40 seconds is a huge difference. Didn't have a lucky season by any means last year. I couldn't tell you what kept Petry's point totals down

Yep I would say Booth and Hemsky are comparable, just Hemsky has stayed a little more healthy than Booth...injuries suck in general

Wish the NHL could be like NHL13 where you can turn off injuries

I wanna see RNH play at his best. He's gonna turn heads (again). Some people have labeled him as 4th best of the 4 oiler youngsters because he had a torn labrum and he could very well still be the best. My favourite oiler because of his style of play and developing 2 way game. J Schultz 2nd

Damn you. I switched to my phone and spent 10 minutes trying to find it
So ya, 1:16 well behind Potter, Whitney, Gilbert, and Barker, oh and Chorneys 2+ minutes for his 3 or so games.

I find it hard to pick a favorite because they all bring something great to the table. I can't fault your reasoning, but my 1-2 is Hall and Ebs. Halls compete level is insane and I have loved Eberle ever since his infamous WJ goal I greatly look forward to seeing RNH play healthy again and give me some healthy competition for my favorite Oiler, along with another year of yak attacks and Schultz pp magic. And maybe Gagner has his breakout year...

Hall will more than likely be the best of the bunch, but I don't like his style. I like the soft hands that Ebs, Nuge, Yak, and Schultz all have. I've wondered this season if Hemsky is gone and say Eberle is injured, could EDM pull a Brent Burns and play Schultz at F?

It would be interesting but I think if that were to happen we'd probably see Rajala get a callup

I think they would want J.Schultz to continue his defensive developement but we do have a lot of bodies back there right now. More quantity than quality though. Hopefully we have somebody surprise in camp.

don't worry. you're one of my favourites

I think Finn will surprise fans at how he turns out. Never watched a bad game of his. People I follow on twitter always have good things to say about him. I had hoped EDM'd pick him at 32 but they decided that they were retarded and picked a facepuncher.

Its like the mantra has been repeated so often that even Oilers fans have bought in.

Without watching the games? NOW YOU HAVE CAMERAS SET UP IN MY PLACE?!?!?! For the record, I watch far more Oilers games than you give credit for, which is exactly why I've said for years they need goaltending and defense if they ever want to contend seriously...they've slowly started fixing those problems since I first started saying that...so keep on thinking I don't watch anything to do with the Oilers...you'll be wrong every single time...

I'd say the CHI fans are the most knowledgeable on this site. A lot of not-so-smart leafs, sabres, canucks, and oiler fans here

but thanks for that useless post

You quote tsn alot and attempt to make rumours and conjecture into fact, so i guess your on the right site anyway.

but Not 1 of us here thinks you have any tangible knowledge about the oilers.
Your posts are good for a laugh though

All I did was say where the video of Kadri himself was talking to reporters...Based on what he said I said it SOUNDED LIKE they may have a way to fit him under the cap currently I don't know what part you're not getting...nothing I said was fact, it was an opinion of mine (not tsn's) based on what the player himself said

He's not petty, but in my experience he's a gigantic homer. It's just something that gets disguised because the team is so good.

If they are mature, they would not whine to a ref over the fact that I laughed that they lost to Calgary nearing the end of the past season They're far from mature
