Yeah, I agree with you.
I actually feel good about their goaltending. - johndewar
I actually do feel good about the goaltending. However, I can already imagine the news reports when/if the Flyers lose to, now division rival, Sergei Bobrovsky and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Oh, please say we sweep that series. |

I agree.
I'm actually pretty excited to see how Mason's puck handling ability can augment the defense over a larger sample size of games. I refuse to believe that it won't help at all. - johndewar
This will definitely be a factor as well. Mason and Emery both handle the puck well, and I suspect this will deecrease the wear and tear on the D over the long haul. Overall, I like the team. I think we make the dance but I'd like to see another defensive minded Dman added to the D corps at the deadline. |

What I love in this whole story, is that the Goaltending coach in columbus apparently tweaked Bob's style, and specifically changed his crouch, with fantastic results, but they couldn't even make the right call on the sizing of Mason's equipment and shipped him out like he was a scrub???? LOL |

He didn't have a role in Columbus. They traded him for a Leighton jersey and a 3rd rounder. |

I still consider both goalies unproven. Bob's successes have only been in half-seasons. Likewise, Mason has had one good season. Not sold on either just yet. Both are still rather young in terms of goalie development--but it's going to be fire and brimstone if Bobrovsky wins the first game in the divisional match-up. |

Still a weird situation. How can you not provide the correct information to your tender and make him wear a 13yr old's sized equipment. |

I know it's just splitting hairs, but goalies don't win games, and I wish they'd stop keeping this stat. |

Might want to ask Garth Snow. I think his shoulder pads were for a 6'9" goalie. |

And I can completely see that happening. Bob seemed like a very motivated tender when he was here. I hope Mason is just as motivated and we can beat them.. Still not thrilled with the fact that we are the Metro division.. |

I hope he can skate to the blue line and do a few dekes to help our defensive game out... anything short of that and I think we're gonna see mostly the same stupid crap on D. |

It also means we'll have to see Michael Leighton again next season. |

Isn't Leighton a UFA this summer? I thought we only brought him back on a 1 yr deal? |

Knowing our luck, Leighton would shut us out and injure 2 of our defenders if we faced him. |

If he skates beyond the blue line, I'm pretty sure that's a minor penalty. |

I just realized he's got a .500 record in SCF action. Boucher is 0-2. |
