The fact that you know ANYTHING about honey boo boo ends the discussion. I've been reading the back and forth between you two. You are losing, rutt. His username alone shows you'll always be one step behind in wit or insult. Brilliant name Mr rash. - R4Z0R
You remember the infamous Jan Vopat, the man allergic to his gear? I think it was one of the reasons aside from his poor play that forced him to retire early.
It always amazes me that fans of some of the prairie teams fail to realize what a poor draw they are in the US. The hardcore fan doesn't care but the average fan will save his money to see Detroit or Chicago or Toronto...but doesn't give a flip about poor Edmonton or Calgary teams...cities that no one outside Canada care about.
It is sweet that Nashville has been so much better than the Oilers for so long. Just think of what the Preds could have done with even one first overall pick in their history. They have paid the price for never ever having a terrible team.
My 6 yo calls them "the Drips" because of their logo. How appropriate. |

I'd take Clouts over just about any blogger on this site. He's the Howard Stern of hockey bloggers, and he's here to create discussion (and he does that).
As you pointed out at the end of your post, there are other sources of actual Oilers news out there, and we're well aware of them... Members discuss those as well. - laughs2907
Please do not insult Howard Stern...
Stern is intelligent, entertaining & posesses wit.
The aforementioned blogger isn't even in the same galaxy. |

That is not Nashville or our state. That would be like me saying you got a nice Stampede there in Edmonton. At least I would be in the right province. And I'm not kidding.....seriously why do people live in northern Alberta....there are so many nicer areas in Canada. - VopatsRash
It's fairly prosperous, close to nature, Edmonton and Calgary have more culture and diversity than you'd expect and - shocker - some people like the season of winter.
This coming from a guy who doesn't live in Edmonton, and never has: stop being so damn arrogant. |

It is truly sad, when not even your own team is a big enough draw to see them play, that you use the excuse of the competition, to cite a reason for attendance to these so called games. Poor excuse using winning for paying the price. What have they ever won exactly???? Mediocrity isn't exactly what teams strive for. Let me know when the preds actually ever accomplish something. |

Course I member Jan. Gotta feel sorry for anyone who can't work because they're allergic to their uniform.

I've always thought insulting the city of a franchise was scraping the bottom of the barrel, especially when he gets it all wrong. If Pronger didn't like the weather, he at least liked the weather girl. |

Having any knowledge of anything related to honey boo boo speaks to a persons intelligence. As far as "redneck, inbred trash" relating to the south, the only two times I was in Canada, there were more rednecks per square foot than has ever been here. Just sayin'. - R4Z0R
Just a thought: When he brought up honey boo boo, you didn't say "who's honey boo boo?" or "what the (frank) are you talking about?". Wouldn't that demonstrate that you have knowledge of anything related to honey boo boo, namely that she/it exists? and thus wouldn't that speak to your intelligence as much as it speaks to his? |

I'm not in on the city jabs. I will say I hate cold. I will also say I hate Pronger. I watched him play against the Preds while he was in St. Louis many times. He played dirty then wouldn't fight to back it up. Of course you don't want your studs out for five minute stretches but when you're 6' 6", don't stick somebody in the crotch, from behind no less, then back up until someone 6 foot has to come in and fight for your dirty play. I'll never deny he's a great player but he'll always be a frickin loser. |

Nice try. No.
"She/it". That was good.
Also, Halifax is a muchly long ways from Oil town. How did that fandom come about? |

The farm team used to be here (well, Cape Breton when I was a kid). But mostly from watching the scrappy, post-Gretzky Oilers on HNIC.
I was also a great fan of the Nordiques when they had their team, as I have family in QC. |

I've often wondered how a hockey mad city, that would be any Canadian city loses their team. Did ticket prices in Quebec, Winnipeg and such just outpace the economies? I don't know what good paying jobs are, in Canada. |

Canadian dollar exchange rate vs US was brutal back then. |
