I dont really have a problem with the list at all. I might possibly think about considering making a sort of case for Colorado because of Mackinnon, but....meh. It is what it is. |

Best player ever? No. Best player in the league today? No. Best forward even? No, not as long as Crosby is still skating with his head on his shoulders. But best power forward winger today? Yes,.absolutely. - rangerdanger94
Umm, maybe not? Actually I'm going to say definitely not. |

If I thought even a little bit that Nash is the best power forward/winger in the NHL today I would say it. Him being a Ranger has nothing to do with my opinion. I don't think you'd find any fan of any team save a Ranger fan who would agree with your post? |

Rick Nash is one of the most overrated players in the game. Hall Tavares and many many more players I'd take over him. |

Well, as a fan that watched him play every game last season, I must respectfully disagree. He was everything he was advertised to be and more when he played for us. His shot, his playmaking, his hands, his vision, his skating, his size, his strength and power, his ability to singlehandedly take over and dominate a game...he's unreal. Gets a bad rep cuz he played poorly in the playoffs but he gets a pass from me because of how unreal he was in the regular season. |

I disagree with that huge. I'd rather a player be terrible in the regular season and great in the playoffs, then I'd give the player a pass for the regular season. No way a player should get a pass cause of a horrible playoff performance because he had a great regular season. |

Let's look at a map now. Edmonton is in the northwest and four of the teams on Cloutier's list are in the southeast. I'm sure he watches lots of games from the old southeast division. It's curious that Winnipeg was left off the list. I'm sure if they were still in Atlanta they would have been included because their roster screams excitement. There is some major Canadian bias and homerism going on with this list. It's cliche and it's tired. Hockey is here to stay in the south. Deal with it.
The bottom line is familiarity with a team breeds interest. I never watch Calgary games and therefore find them boring when they come to Raleigh because I am not very familiar with their roster. Teams with big name stars because of your familiarity with them are going to be more interesting to opposing fan bases. |

Well obviously if he underperformed in the playoffs again, it would be a huge issue. He only gets a pass because he was still playing great, just couldn't score, looked like he was playing really banged up, and it was really his first time in the playoffs with big expectations.
Basically what I'm saying is that nash might even be a bit more underrated than overrated and that he brings a lot more to the table than any ranger fan thought he would, so naturally fans of every other team have no idea what he totally brings either. The rangers will gladly take our players that fans of other teams have been calling overrated for years like lundqvist, girardi, staal, mcdonagh, even callahan, and now nash. |

5. Philadelphia Flyers – Every league needs one team with misfits, cast-offs, and screw-ups. A team that will lie, cheat, or do whatever to win. The NFL has the LA Raiders. The NBA has the Miami Heat. MLB has whatever team A-Rod is on. In the world of hockey, it's the Flyers.
What makes the Flyers interesting is that they’re more or less indestructible, and ownership knows it. If you knew you couldn’t die, would you live life safe and do smart things? No. You’d constantly do ridiculous, huge things that often result in catastrophe. The Flyers might be able to win a cup if they calmed down and quit trying to sign absolutely every player and make absolutely every trade. The fans of the team are a freak show, too. They’d rather break your teeth than hold up a cup again. This team is great fun. - Cloutier
You sure you don't have one problem with it? I realize he only said this to piss off the Flyers fans, but still |

If you read my post I think you would see that I implied that the list compiling would vary based on the region from which it was compiled. It's totally subjective which drives a lot of hits to the blog but is about as meaningful as the paper it was written on and flushed down the staal. |

My goodness, no Predator replies? Okay, I'll give you one Richard. I'm glad you qualified your comments by basically saying this was based on nothing. Having Nashville at the top for least interesting is...well...interesting. Only because the Predators are THE only team in hockey that even matters. There...that's all the venom I could muster. - R4Z0R
