Maybe around the time of the Winter Classic? It definitely looks familiar.

They're not terrible...I probably wouldn't buy one, but it's better than the early 2K orange ones with the silver on the logo.

True.

Also, I think it's better than this:

Agreed with StubHub, especially since the Flyers partnered with them to make it very easy for Flyers STH to list their tickets on there.

I'm in the same boat. To me, Laughton has to have a defined role on this team or he's better suited for another season in juniors. I don't think it makes much sense to give him 10 minutes a night or sit him in the pressbox when he could be getting 1st line minutes w Oshawa. He's steadily improved the past 3 seasons and he could take another step with one more season down there. Next year Hall will most likely be gone and possibly Read so there will be space for him to make more of an impact. Plus, in this salary cap league, it doesn't hurt to leave him 3 full years of his ELC (starting next season) on a team that always spends to the Cap. Personally, I hope they find a way to dump Mez, resign Gagne to play 3rd line wing, and give Laughton another year of development. Bc, like I said before, it might hinder his growth giving him 4th line minutes when they don't have to.

But imagine how amazing we'd be if we could make these line combos work?:

Hartnell - Giroux - Voracek -- 17 minutes/night(ish)
Schenn - Lecavalier - Simmonds -- 15 minutes/night(ish)
Laughton - Couturier - Read -- 15 minutes/night(ish)
Gagne - Talbot - Rinaldo -- 13 minutes/night(ish)
Hall

If you're going to play Gagne on the 4th line, why bother signing him?

Oh ya I've seen those. I tried to buy one a few months ago, but they stopped making them, and after emailing the makers I found out they only have (had?) one left. It was a Jagr, and while I like Jagr, I wanted a current Flyer. So instead I opted for a custom home jersey with "Schenns" on the back, with 10 on one arm and 22 on the other.

You're the one that preaches that line numbers are just labels (as with me saying Matt Read would leave next year if we played him in a 3rd line role, and you arguing that 3rd line is just a label). If he plays with Talbot, gets PK time, fills in on the PP, gets 12+ minutes a night, and has a cheap cap hit, then why not? Also, if Laughton emerges as a solid NHLer, and we have Gagne on roster, it would make it less painful to part with Read or Couturier if need be.

I do not see much of a difference with or without Laughton. Some may even overrate the kid if it would be "so amazing" to have him play for us. I feel Laughton will have a very small impact for the flyers when he's ready to go.

You do not play a player of Gagne's caliber on the fourth line, even if he's making the league minimum. Take his special teams ice time away if you have better players to play in those situation but 5 on 5, Gagne should never see the fourth line, especially not under a rookie (Laughton). Laughton should pretty much be a 20-30 goal guarantee for this to happen and he isn't. Gagne may as well retire if this is the case.

As for anyone who doesn't believe in numbering the lines, I'm sorry but I tend to disagree. Giroux centers the top line, which would be considered number one, simple as that. Blair Better, Jimmy Dawd, Claude Lapointe and Adam Hall center the fourth line. Nobody should disagree with this. It just shows the balance of any team.

Everyone seems more than happy to throw Talbot on the 4th line, and Gagne at this point can only be relied on to put up marginally more points than Talbot puts up

A healthy Gagne can easily put up better numbers and points then Talbot.

I prefer Gagne with Couturier, because Gagne is more creative offensively. It'd be nice to see Couturier play with Read and Gagne for full year and maybe develop his offensive game a bit.

I don't see Gagne as a guy they absolutely have to bring back, but if they do, he's a lock for the third line, IMO

You need 3 lines that can score in today's NHL. A player like Read can still see significant minutes in all situations playing on the 3rd line. And as long as he got those minutes, I don't see playing Read on the 3rd line as a reason why he would want to go elsewhere. That comes down to money, as it normally does. We've had that discussion before.
Gagne is not a player suited for a 4th line role. I'd much rather play one of the kids on the 4th line, then to sign Gagne to play there. Gagne belongs on a line with scoring line players if he's signed, not on the 4th line. I would not waste a contract spot to sign Gagne to play on the 4th line. The Flyers can always add a veteran Winger at the trade deadline if need be. I personally would not re-sign Gagne. Although I won't be upset if they do. I just want to get more young players in the lineup and develop them for the future. Especially on the 4th line.

I'm against Talbot on the 4th line. I want him playing with better players in a more expanded role.

Looking back at some of the responses to my post about our division, I forgot that we have a much taller task, much bigger division this season. What I would like to see is a predictions blog for the upcoming season.

Outside of Giroux, who will be our second best offensive threat? Voracek or Lecavalier?

Who will earn the starting job for the playoffs? Mason or Emery?

Who will have a break out season among the youth and take that next step? Schenn, Read or Couturier?

Where will the Flyers rank in the East?

Will Laughton make the team or will Gagne be resigned?

Who do you feel is likely to Win the Cup this season?

In reference to the last question, I do realize that it's a lot to expect for the Rangers and Penguins to just roll over and die but I do believe the Devils will suck.
