Who is Selena Gomez, Scott's sister?

Does Douglas Murray have as good a chance of winning the Norris next season as a Canuck as J. Schultz does for the Oil?

I would only sign Murray as a depth move. If we get Tanev signed and Corrado makes the team. I think we could dress 7 defenseman most nights, Weber being the 7th, and have him play on the 4th and on the power-play as a specialist. Weber has played ont he 4th line in the past.

I think it kills 2 birds with one stone. Gives us a RHD shot option on the power play, and avoids both Sestito and Weise being in the line up at the same time.

We basically have one hole up front at the moment. 3C, which they have basically said will be left open for a rookie (Gaunce, Schroeder, Horvat) to seize.

We also have one hole on D at the moment. Tanev's spot. If Tanev won't sign for what he's worth then we need to fill it with someone. Murray would be a good option.

Tanev's rights have virtually zero value.

Oh, well good to know we are set up front .

Can't wait for the 3rd and 4th line to get manhandled on a regular basis, and when injuries start to happen that pool of prospects gets pretty thin. And there is no way Horvat should be playing in the NHL yet.

Your comments on Murray/Tanev, echo exactly what I said. Except I think Tanev has some value.

What's he deal with the vehicle and no rims on lu's twitter. Did he seriously have his rims stolen or is this an inside joke?

He'd be a 3rd / 4th liner in Vancouver.
- KB3Point0

How does that help you? He doesn't hit, backcheck or create offense.

slowest player in hockey. weird that he would want to go to vancouver, he should wait to go to a cup contender.

Wow.

You've gone from a somewhat pleasant poster to a douchey troll in a matter of weeks.

What gives?

Menopause?

It's menopause, isn't it?

So what, we sign him and leave the gaping holes on the 3rd /4th line open, hoping/praying that Schroeder can fill the 3c spot and we have no injuries?

Yikes, as much as I liked like to have that beast back there, I feel we have bigger gaps to fill.

Unless Tanevs rights are traded.

Schroeders shoulder was nagging him all season last year. You could almost tell because his shot was a shadow of what it previously was. If his reconstructive surgery is a complete success, I'd be shocked if he's not our third line center, and a good one at that. Where have you been? They've been saying for months now young players will get opportunities. Gilman already said it'll be very unlikely we sign a forward.

Sedin Sedin Kassian
Burrows Kesler Hansen(The more I look at this the more I like)
Booth Schroeder Higgins(Hansen and Higgins can switch)
Richardson Gaunce Weise

The Canucks are fast and feisty...but they are certainly not MEAN and NASTY. Murray is both of those things and I think he would be a great addition to the Canucks blue line. Not that Luongo needs it, but Murray is also one of those guys that gives his goalie more confidence (less crease crashing etc.).

I say go for it, I think it would be a good move. Edler and Hamhuis are fast and offensive enough to make up the difference.

I would like to see Burrows play with Hansen. I think it would be a good shut down line that can chip in many goals.

Sedin Sedin Kassian.
Booth Kesler Gaunce .
Burrows Schroeder Hansen
Higgins Richardson Weise

Sestito /Santorri

Kassian is the protector and also creates space. He can also score.

not meaning to slight you, but in no way is Gaunce second line material at this stage.

I understand , but truth is you or I don't really know how good he is. There was an article the other day saying he was the best player at he Teaam Canand tryouts.

I do agree somewhat but putting him on the second line with two skilled players balances out the lines.

If you go from a Booth Kesler Burrows 2 nd to a Gaunce Scchroeder Hansen third line ,that is a pretty significant drop off.

For all we know he might not even be NHL material yet, or ever.

He'll have to have a HELL of a camp to win that 3rd line spot, and if he doesn't, he's much better served being an elite go-to guy in the OHL for another season.

No way do I want to see him wasting away on the 4th line...

What article is this?

I'll admit I didn't watch the WJC evaluation tourney, but I watched the hilights and was following the feedback/comments/twitter as much as anybody, and I never saw a single comment that said he was the best player.

He did lead the team in points, but that doesn't mean he was the best.

His goals/assists were mainly garbage points from going into the dirty areas, which is great, and the team will need that, but it still doesn't mean he was the best.

He showed well, and if he has a good start to the season (likely in the OHL, but who knows), he'll probably make the WJC team.
