Funny story about skirts.

K, so I went to the Gogol Bordello concert in Edmonton on Monday, and a guy in the crowd, who may have been Scottish, was wearing a skirt. He kept crowd surfing, and of course, we all know what a Scotsman keeps under his skirt. Nothing. I lost eye sight the second time he went up. Wait, that sounded bad.

I don't think you're understanding what I was getting at. When I write a blog inviting chaos and disorder, I have no problem with people losing their minds while responding. However, there are a certain group of guys (and I'll say guys, because women have more class than guys when it comes to things like this, so therefore, they wouldn't do it) who comment on my blogs every single day, saying the same stuff every single day...and their only goal is to insult me. We're not talking about fans who dislike the Oilers or my opinions...we're talking about people who get their jollies from being contrary and negative about everything. There is absolutely no reason those types of comments should be allowed to continue, and those type of people allowed to continue using the site to post comments.

It's not a matter of being able to "roll with the punches", because believe me, I can dish out the insults as well as I give them. But the everyday pointless and never-ending hatred expressed towards me by people who are only doing it because they know they can get away with it, needs to stop.

And like most people who make assumptions and false judgments based on those assumptions, sooner or later, you'll get a clearer picture of the person or circumstance you are so clearly misunderstanding. When that happens, you'll be proven wrong, but guys like you are way too insecure to admit when you're wrong, so you'll either disappear or pick a different victim.

In case you are missing details, allow me to fill you in:

1. Yes, I started here with absolutely no connections. Over time, I'm establishing them. I'm not as nearly as unconnected as you think I am.

2. The guys who write for Copper 'n' Blue haven't exactly been nice to me, but they've treated others with absolute arrogance along the way too. I think if you take a long, hard look you'd discover they are more or less just hockey fans like I am. Or to word this another way, If someone who is legitimately connected like Bob Stauffer said on air that I was some ass-clown, I could accept it, because he's actually someone in the know. But when Derek or Ryan treat me like garbage, it's embarrassing for them. Thankfully they haven't "called me out" in a long time, but some of the constant negativity I read on Twitter from the CnB site gets to me after a while.

Boo (frank)ing hoo....so that gives you the right to blast them back over something that you clearly didn't even read?

You may very well be a good writer. Hope it works out for you. Your blogs....not so much....

and I suspect there will come a point when I move from hockey blogs into working as a full-time journalist focusing on political stuff. It might be hard for you to wrap your head around this, but I have take different approaches to different types of work. For my "day" job I get paid to interview people, to investigate, and to write stories that are informative and newsworthy. If I had a press pass for the Oilers and was paid a full-time salary to cover the team like a reporter, you'd be reading very different blogs. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for...so what you get with me here is a funny guy who writes opinion pieces referencing the best information that is easily available.

The really sad thing about me explaining all of this to you is that you're smart enough to get what I'm saying, but you just won't because hubris rules you. Maybe I'm wrong, and you're just an incredibly good blog troll. But if that's the case, I feel incredibly sad for you, because your life must be so completely empty to have stuck with this for so long.

Sometimes I wish mods would step in because I think people go at me in completely inappropriate ways in blog comments, and it makes the site look bad. In your case, I wish they'd ban you from the site permanently because you embarrass yourself with your obvious envy, self-loathing and ignorance.

I've done absolutely nothing to deserve it. I don't personally insult you other than to call out your blogs when they deserve it. I don't personally attack you the way you attack me and others.

I care about Hockeybuzz...I defend the site constantly and I promote the hell out of it no matter where I am or who I'm talking to. It makes me sad to think that we need your patronage when all you are capable of is venom.

Quit troll blogging and all will be good. As was pointed out by Aerchon, I simply gave an example and provided proof. You just come back with ridiculous statements because that's all you got. Quit Troll blogging and you'll find that you'll get a lot more respect. "Hits" do not equal "most popular" and certainly do not equal "best" blogger.

Don't you find it strange that us Oiler regulars have a better time conversing and chatting on the Flames board or Leaf board or basically any other board? We hate having to deal with the ridiculous poop your blogs bring with them. So we go elsewhere a lot of the time. Bu ya I guess its all of us that are wrong and you are right....

That's more or less what I was alluding to. Inviting chaos and disorder into your blog is going to do nothing more than tickle the fancies of your biggest haters. Right or wrong is meaningless in this whole dilemma if you continue to send out the invites to the truly classless element of this forum.

While I agree some are here only to insight negativity, many like myself do enjoy the occasional badgering of your blog content and hockey IQ from time to time. That said, I think for the most part you have to take the bad with the good. (to some extent)

Hey have you ever seen that documentary Titanoboa? They found some giant fossils somewhere in central or South America of a snake that turned out to be close to 15m in length and weighed over a ton. That would have been pretty cool in the zoo.
