he's on a 35+ contract, so if he retired the Oilers would keep that cap hit entire season
exact reason why Pronger hasnt announced his retirement yet, because if he did, since he's on a 35+ contract, the Flyers would be forced to keep his cap hit on their team till the end of the contract. They couldn't LTIR him like they've been doing past few seasons
So SMyth retiring doesnt do much for the Oilers

He's 19 and from what I ve read he's pretty intelligent and well spoken. He has a solid writing base and excellent grammatical skills, based on this he's miles ahead of the youth today so I assume he can spend time doing things he enjoys.
