not a lot of fancy stats guys are selective, and I don't think yost is
I can say Kadri had a really lucky season the same way Eberle had a really lucky 2011-2012 season. Stats point it out. To just look at points and expect the same can be ignorant. I doubt Eberle will ever be a 75P player ever again because of the stats that back it up - TheNugeIsHuge
I never said to look at points alone, all the time, no exceptions. But to outright ignore them can be ignorant on deeper levels than what you're suggesting. Dealing with young players who have little track record, and alot of room to grow, its hard to suggest how much luck is truly a factor. No stats can firmly impress that information on you unless you selectively use them to justify ignorantly expressed opinions. |

If, but I didnt, so you're seriously delusional.
He deals in facts of his choosing. Accepting Corsi, GoonieGooGoo and that other horse poon crap he obsesses over while rejecting stats, wins, standings, points etc is not dealing in facts. Its choosing to be selective at your own convenience and feeding your own agendas. - systemtool
Corsi is a representation of fact, which is stats. Wins, standings and points suggest the Sens are more productive than theaverage bear. Melnyk is a moron, that's a public fact, how is it selective? |

Yost has his method. Other bloggers have theirs. Yost was referred to as a random useless blogger. Cloutier was referred to as a guy in his underwear in his basement.

historical evidence.
maybe when Kadri and Eberle develop n take more shots they'll be able to produce at the level that they have(ebs last year). But if the same stats that show us their lucky seasons were high for say a 28-29YO then it's safe to assume that they're just experiencing a lucky season and won't produce at the same clip again. I agree those stats can be less relevant with younger players, but still relevant nonetheless |

and I miss Matt Barry. His blogs were fun...and if you were lucky enough to catch a couple of his meltdowns before they were deleted, they were amazing. |

Yost got mentioned because he researches and gives his readers news. You can't claim that Cloutier and Yost write on the same professional basis, even if professional isn't the write terminology. |

Just because you don't understand advanced stats doesn't mean they don't exist. Just re-take Grade 2 again and you might get it.

Honestly JJ is worse for the melt downs. Not as obvious do to the success of of the hawks. But he is a whining little female dog. |

Neither one is a professional. They are BLOGGERS. If they were something else, they would have things that legitmate media types have like clearances and actual inside sources. Sorry to burst your bubble but Garrioch is the closest you guys have to that. |
