While we're on the topic, I'll re-post something I said before and re-tool it so hopefully it doesn't result in a ban. From a digital saavy hockey fan, this entire site is stale. Right down from the watered down posts about essentially nothing, to the 2002-ish design. You need to rebrand the site and re-invent yourself as a hockey content provider. Come up with new ways to share the interesting stuff you get from your sources. You owe it to the people that pay to access your content and to your loyal following. Leverage your talented bloggers to help you do this. - champ1315

To be honest I think that the user interface and comment sections are an absolute strength of this website. You can seamlessly maneuver your way around and participate in discussions about all 30 NHL teams. The current setup allows discussion to facilitate easily and allows interaction with different fan bases that perhaps otherwise would not happen. Just my two cents. |

they're also impossible to get through. grammar, punctuation, and being interesting are hurdles that turned out to be taller than he thought they were going to be.

I'd have to agree with you here, Ryan. Sometimes simplicity is better than the opposite. Hockey Buzz isn't a fancy setup, but it doesn't have to be. Like you said, it's easy to participate in discussion about all 30 teams. That's the goal here. I can name a number of hockey related sites that have too much going on. This isn't one of them. |

I find you, Stuart, JJ and Yost to be the 4 biggest +++'s on this site over the last few years

I think there is a way to keep the things that work, as well as move the site forward. For example....
- The mobile offering for this site is non-existent. Ask anyone that knows anything about the web and that's just bad business these days. Terrible mobile experience is going to equal people simply not coming here anymore.
- If the site bloggers are the strength of the site, why aren't they being featured more in a better designed layout?
- Why has the season ticket offering not changed in literally 5 years? In fact I think it's been subtracted from. If you are asking people to pay for content on a yearly basis at least refresh what you are offering.

The biggest flaw is that the site has allowed trolls to be trolls and bloggers to troll other fan bases.
How can anyone take the site serious when crap like that happens? How do you attract the best possible bloggers that way? |

You mean like when Dee verbally bashed Nash after receiving a concussion that left Ranger fans completely irate... Or a few weeks ago when she decided to call an Islander fan an asshat on another account because she was butt hurt that he's been doing a better, more respectable job. |
