but the Hawks came out of it with their stars intact. i'm talking about a team being forced to trade a Patrick Kane or a Jordan Eberle... - Gary_B.
Doesn't happen often.. teams work around that and keep both!

They had to choose the stars they kept. Kane was rumoured to be on the block. But even still they had to move some pretty damn talented players...Campbell, Ladd, Buffy...*cough* Versteeg *cough*.
I just hate rewarding the worst teams, who are usually worst due to their own incompetence, with the best young talent. I think it really hurts the league at times. Stamkos in TB and Tavares in NYI is terrible for marketing.
If not a reverse order then make it a 30 team lottery. Anything but the current system. That would give every team a hope and generate HUGE interest. |

I think that the Team USA's new uniforms make them all look fat. Must have had something to do with looking at the U.S. government......bloated and overweight. |

I can attest to that. Corruption is everywhere, these days and is rampant in politics. The U.S. debt, however, stands alone as the greatest shame of this once proud nation. Unfortunately, the world had to pay for this frivolity with other people's money that's been perpetrated by governments of all stripes.

Agreed - something ass backwards about rewarding losers. Knowing there can never be a relegation system, I'd be down with a system that does not allow a team to draft in the top three spots 2 years in a row. |

Governments work for banks. Pre 1913 North America was just fine, after the addition of the privately owned central bank we were all f-ed. |

I can see that being practical after two top 3 picks in the draft. In year 3, a team still sitting near the bottom would have to wait and draft 10th that next year. I think that bottoming out for 5 years is terrible for the fanbase and causes too many teams to fall into Revenue Sharing. That too should become a penalty, after two year of finishing near the bottom. Your revenue sharing cash gets cut in half.
