People that piss on other people's home towns are just showing a complete lack of respect for the city and the people in that city in general, there could be a whole swag of reasons people love the city they are in and might be why they might not like other city's just because a "number" of people don't like a city doesn't make it a horrible or garbage city. You come to a hockey site to see hockey articles and you have to scroll through and you end up reading juvenile garbage like that about people's home city's.
EDIT: I live in apparently the "World's most liveable city" as voted yesterday, complete CRAP if you ask me. - MikeyOz

Look, you've never been to Buffalo. Period. You may have gone to a game or two. Maybe, gotten some wings at Pearl Street, but you've never been to Buffalo. You've never gone to Kuni's. You've never taken a day trip to the Roycroft Inn. You've never kayaked down the Buffalo river, taking in the breathtaking view of the grain elevators of days past. You've never had a burger and a Franziskaner at Sterling Tavern. You've never gotten to visit one of the top 5 modern art collections in the world at Albright-Knox. You've never taken a tour at the Greycliff estate. You've never been out drinking in Allentown until the lights go on at the Old Pink. You've never strolled the Bidwell market on a Saturday morning. You may have gone to Chippewa. But you've never been to Buffalo. So shut the hell up. |

He played well last season, 20 points in 29 games isnt bad, thats a 55 point pace for him again. He hasnt regressed at all, and his faceoff percentage, takeaway, and hits are still top of the team...I disagree with the regression part - DDM-Coga
Well Mr. Smarty pants. Then maybe it won't be him but a center would be on their list. Maybe they are even willing to part with a top dman for a big price. Who knows. Ek sure did make this fun.
Now he should say that Philly, Toronto and Ottawa are talking and then we will REALLY see some sparks. |

No, not at all. It's an opinion shared by many. Edmonton and buffalo are both poop holes.. Rivaled only by possibly Winnipeg. Get over it. - joel878
Hold on a second there, I'd like to add Hamilton and Cincinnati before we close the signups for this debate.

Miller for Stastny, Varlamov, conditional 2014 or 2015 1st (if Colorado makes the playoffs in 2014 they give up the 2014 1st, if Miller re-signs and Colorado didn't make the playoffs in 2014 they get the 2015 1st. )
Myers for Smid, Marincin, lottery protected 2014 1st.

As a Leaf fan, I'd much rather see Miller go out West, anywhere out West rather than Miller become an Islander. The thought of him becoming an Islander on a team that's on the brink of being a contender, that is quite scary. |

It's too soon to give up on Varlamov. Sure, he's been inconsistent with Colorado, but the defense in front of him has been terrible. He is still only 25, which is very young for a starting goaltender, and we have yet to see what he can do with even an average defense.
The only meaningful trade that might go down between Colorado and Buffalo would be something around Stastny for Myers. Can Myers play the left side? |

I don't know if I'd say their on the brink of becoming a contender, they're just now becoming a playoff team, and despite Islanders fans seemingly being enthused that Streit is gone, they did just lose their captain and biggest offensive threat on the blue line. They also failed to replace him, and now they're still in need of a true offensive defenseman. Lubo will be their biggest hope, but it's questionable if he'll be able to give any more than 30-35. You'd also have to question if Miller would be that much of an upgrade over Nabby. Sure, he has the age advantage, but over the past 3 seasons Miller has put up an average of .916 SV% and 2.65 GAA, while Nabby has put up a .915 SV% and 2.69 GAA. I'm unsure if you'd see much of a statistical improvement in their goaltending if they made a deal for Miller. |

I actually think Miller in Colorado would fit like PB&J. Problem is Buffalo is probably asking for the moon. Av's should just hold out a year while their young guys are still developing anyway and sign him as a free agent in the offseason. Makes the most sense. |

If Buffalo is having doubts with Coho, I could see a possible deal of Stastny+ for Vanek or Stastny for Erhoff type of deal.
Buffalo is the one who is looking to make moves though, so I wouldn't expect much to come from the avs end.
I still think NYI would be the best fit for Miller, or STL granted idk how the cap #s would work out for that. |

^ This. If avs were the ones calling it would be different. However give Varly a year to see how he does (I still really like him as a goalie) and then work something out durring FA.
If Avs REALLY wanted a different goalie, both Bryz and Thomas are out there and could be had for pretty cheap. |

I don't think Buffalo would be trading Myers right now. It would be foolish and they just traded for Tallinder. Buffalo does have way too many Dmen though. |

Buffalo is a great place to go out for dinner. And I'm not talking about the obvious stanglehold the city has on chicken wing supremecy.
Fine dining?
Tempo
Chop House
Rue Franklin
Oliver's
Lombardo's
Russell's
Salvatore's
Casual dinners & drinks?
Cole's
Blue Monk
Chef's
Mulberry's
Left Bank
Toro
Sterling
Gabriel's Gate
Shango
Lake Effect Diner
Grover's
Friar's Table
Kentucky Greg's
Founding Father's Pub
You get the picture.
I live in Canada, halfway between Toronto and Buffalo, and Buffalo wins every time when I want quality, quantity and good value when I go out for dinner.
And I haven't even mentioned happy hour and free pour at the bar!

Niagra is about half way isn't it? - doon
Niagara is about 3/4 of the way from Toronto to Buffalo, come back North a bit, until your feet get wet, then a little bit more. |
