I wish they put the slug logo on it, and maybe some of those sparkly stars from the USA jerseys too. |

So you think they're going to give away a (apparently) fully healthy defenseman that the coach has endorsed for less than nothing so they can sign a 3rd line forward when they have one ready in the system? I doubt that. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. |

Is Monahan NHL ready? I'm thinking of taking a flyer on him late in one of my drafts and most of the other notable 1st rounders are gone. Either taking him or Krug (I know he's not a draft pick but he showed great stuff last playoff).
Thoughts? |

Excited to see Vinny on the ice. If he can simply bring more consistency to that second line/2nd PP unit, he'll be a big help. |

I doubt that they could give away Meszaros right now. His cap hit isn't huge, but it's not small, either. Combined with the injuries and his salary being higher than the cap hit this year, and it's real likely that to move Meszaros, they'd have to add another asset.
Besides, they don't need to move Meszaros to sign Gagne, if Gagne is willing to wait until the start of the season to sign

Good god, those Buffalo jerseys are awful. They look like no contact practice sweaters.
In other news, anyone here about that Sean Avery rumor? More power to him if it's true... still cant stand the guy though. |

Who's claiming Meszaros is fully healthy?
This is what I do know. Andrej Meszaros has been out long term with serious injuries the past two seasons. The latest was a shoulder injury. The things that make Meszaros special is his hitting and his slap shot, both come from his shoulders. Back injuries tend to slow any player down. We should also factor in that Meszaros has a four million dollar cap hit and is owed 5.5 million in salary while the Flyers are over the cap by roughly two million. Now, it's been pretty important to the Flyers to give their young players a push into the league. Playing Meszaros over Gustafsson in the top six stifles that push because Gustafsson won't be able to play every night. I think it should be the Flyers priority to move Meszaros once camp ends by any means necessary. |

I like Steve Ott a lot. I actually like him much more then I do Max Talbot. I would demand a trade just because he had to model this Halloween costume off. |

Buff fans in the upper balcony shouldn't have any problem identifying their favorite players by their names or numbers.
And what's up with the tiny "Buffalo" on front? |

This is great News and I mean great...but don't we wanna avoid placing Pronger on LTIR? I would like the Flyers to extend Gagne an offer to camp on a tryout for the time being. |

There's almost no way to avoid putting Pronger on LTIR. Nobody's taking Meszaros until he shows he's healthy and even if he does show he's healthy, his contract isn't an easy one for teams to take on without shedding a contract back |

I like our supporting cast much more then Tampa's. I honestly think if Lecavalier can stay healthy, he can hit 30 goals at least once within the next five years. It's a shot in the dark but I feel our much more talented group should give Vinny and offensive boost. |

At the very least, Lecavalier won't have a revolving door on both wings. He played with about 14 different line mates last year |

Well in this case, by signing Gagne, that tells me the club is willing to go all in. They should do it. I like the idea of McGinn being the first call up in case of injury rather then a regular. He's a good player and I like having good depth players on reserve. |

Exactly. There is no reason to under sell this guy. One thing we all need to know is Lecavalier is an upgrade over anything we did have last season. |

I'm not a s much against the Flyers signing Gagne. I won't be upset if they do. But I'd rather see the Flyers play a young kid in that slot, to develop for the future. I don't see Gagne being a difference maker for the Flyers as a Cup team.
