I disagree. Dishwashing is for 16 yr olds. With all that talent, Kadri could easily be a fry cook, maybe even a salad girl.

The reality is this is a business and there is a negotiation game being played between Leafs and Kadri's agent, plus most likely between Kadri and his agent.

Kadri tells his agent what type of deal he would agree to and his agent will work towards getting him something equalt to OR BETTER than what Kadri hopes for. Thats his job, so maybe Kadri is open to a short-term bridge deal at under $3mil, but his agent will obviously push for a long-term deal first...etc.

Let this play out and be done with it! Not the end of the world

if Kadri/Franson sit for a month. Yes its a risk but it will surely tell us what our team is capable of without those two....which is a valuable thing to know it itself.

Colbourne would surely get extended playing time and IF he excels, we might just earn ourselves an extremely valuable trading piece.

Kadri is probably jealous because Tavares,Kane,Skinner and all these guys in or near his draft class got loaded deals right after entryl level from all these poopty hockey markets with tonnes of cap space. He's thinking he gets forced to sign this bridge deal then goes on and lights the lamp along with all those guys that didn't.

The Subban contract is another example. PK wanted toget locked up and didn't. Came out and played like a 6.5-7 million dollar dman on a contract that pays 2

At the beginning, I figured Naz would get signed first. Now, I'm starting to see the opposite. Franson seems much more composed and looks prepared to sign a one year deal and just go for gold next year. We'll probably see that done shortly before or during camp.

Kadri is looking like he's not going to go down so easily. If this keeps going the the way it's going, he could talk himself right out of the city. How do you think we got Kessel?

At least we can take solace that Stepan and Hodgson are in the same situation with their clubs, and that were not the only fanbase going through this. They just don't get the media circus along with it!

This is all true. It gets funny when guys like Mike from Buffalo start moaning about how distracting it all is. I assume they end up with some kind of briodge contract in which case Kadri will have put himself in the same position that SUbban did last year. Hopefully he reacts the same way and comes out and has a career year.

Why doesn't he just sign the offer just as Subban did, play like hell and then make the Leafs sweat when he's a UFA? This is getting ridiculous. If he plays like crap after making this "easy bridge deal" a nightmare, what teams will be lining up for him next time knowing he's a headache like this? Just sign and play....farg!!!
