If Luongo wanted to be here it would make things a lot more acceptable.I blame Lu for game 6 but also blame the rest of the team. Luongo is only one of the many plroblems on this team, scoring has been our number one problem for two and a half years.
We have some good things that will happen in the next two years but we will also have a good share of mockery ahead also . - VANTEL
agreed, much like the leafs, id say flames but you said good things |

Lou, when he's done being a back up in Van.
No team is going to take him, so buyout or this is what he looks like when he retires

You mean he'll look badass when he retires? I think they'll stick with him if that's the case! |

wouldn`t be surprised to see lou bounce back this year, expectations aren`t nearly as high as they`ve been in the past. |

Is that Lu or Clarkson. Not in a wheelchair so it must be Clarkson |

He really wants to prove everyone wrong and be the starting goalie for Team Canada. |

What did Burke's little bastard turn out to be? A hen or a rooster? |

I like most in hockey disagree. - Bieksa#3
I actually agree with hugefemale dog. RNH has the potential to be an elite two-way top line C and has already proven capable of playing well in an NHL top-6. All he needs to do to take the next step is fill out a little more and work on his faceoffs a little and no one will be questioning the pick anymore. I can see Nuge silencing his critics this season in a similar (albeit less dominant) manner to how Hall did last season. |

I think teams like Dallas and the Avs are going to turn some heads this year. Even the Oilers. - VANTEL
Absolutely. Avs (and Dallas) have some great young talent - if they can get a little bit more consistent play from their defense and goaltending (if Varlamov can stay healthy, and also provides his 'A' game more consistently) they will definitely be fighting for a play-off spot.
As far as Dallas, I can't wait to see what Seguin and Benn can do together. They're defense is already quite good (speaking of man-crush - Dillon is going to be a FORCE if he isn't already) and Lehtonen (when healthy) is excellent.

There's only one superman. You better decide between Kessel, Neon, Kadri, and Clarkson. |

That is why I don't think any team is safe this year. I think the bottom end teams are catching up and you just can't stay the same and get old. |

Oilers needed a true power forward (still do). I would have taken GL over RNH. - immature_male
RNH was the clear choice.

I agree with the Nuge assessment, he's a very cerebral player and obviously has the talent to be a top player in this league (as touched on, I think he does need to bulk up more if he's going to play big-minutes and be a two-way force). With him and Hall, Yak, Eberle, Shultz, Gagner, it's going to be a lot of fun to watch. |

He has not proved he is a franchise center yet. I think Edmonton hands out these titles way to easy. |

For the record I think the last player that was hand down #1 is Tavaras |

He's the closest thing we got.
Oilers been looking for a top center for years. He was also the consensus top pick. His skill and hockey sense is simply rare.
Also they have some pretty good wingers already.

There really wasn't much debate among experts in the past couple drafts.
Last year a little with Mack and the guy who went #4
