I didn't say he was worth $6M. I said you're not giving him enough credit for the season he had. Yes, he slowed down a bit in the last few weeks but to say he was just "ok" for 20 games leads me to believe you're either stupid or incredibly biased. There were big chunks of the season when he was one of, if not the best forward the Leafs had. Yes, he has to prove it again before he's really earned a big pay day, but he wasn't just "ok".

Exactly. .65 pts/game on your entry level deal gets you around 4.5 mill

Sounds like no Horvat, Shinkaruk or Subban in tonights game

Gaunce back in. Corrado and Franson remain in...

- Chest Rockwell

Well, they're playing a group of Oilers rookies that really- besides maybe 5 or 6 players- pose no threat whatsoever. Unless they can manage to put together some even remotely consistent chemistry, you guys could probably scratch Jensen, Gaunce, Corrado, and Lack/Eriksson and STILL win by 5 goals.

Who are these people?

I agree with your comments. I understand that some people think the Canucks should move in a different direction. However, precisely who can the Canucks get that will replace what the Sedins bring to the table?

Lets say the twins get 6 each, for 12. If they went elsewhere would we be able to get 2 players for the same money that would replace their points totals? I also think a team would pay 12 million to put 140 points in their lineup.

Imagine the twins on a team with a true power forward with them. IMO if I knew B Ryan was available I would have offered Edler + for him.

I agree, but sometimes they just take to much time, I'm at an age that I can't wait for the Sedins to score no matter how entertaining the set up is, because I have to pee.

That's the $6.1 million dollar question...

that is another factor that a lot of people don't seem to take into consideration; that is, just how much 'better' the Sedins would be with someone like a Ryan on their line.

(and I'm not knocking Burrows as he seems to compliment them well, but I don't think anyone would say he is a pure sniper/goal-scorer)

1 year league minimum two way deal for both Sedin sisters. Throw in a bobble head of Daniel for Henrick to remind him how ridiculous it is that they refuse to play on opposite teams because they know they'd be lost without each other.

You're quite the logician there, Myron.

If they'd be "worse off with each other" then why would they "refuse to play on opposite teams"...?

You know, assuming they'd be better off, like you suggest...

And what the hell are "opposite teams"...? Would that be like the Calgary Flames and the Kootenay Ice? Or the New Jersey Devils and the Anaheim Angels...?

Or do you mean opposing teams?

These two ARE the Vancouver Canucks.

Why do Vancouver fans spit venom at you if you suggest the Sedins aren't the best players in the league...and then they go and price them as mediocre talent.

You want to pay them the same as Garrison? Booth?

- JLO961

People still think Garrison's contract was bad?

Great to see you support this website with something more than comments.. oh wait, you don't. As a fellow BC resident, I'd like to congratulate you for supporting a lost cause which a good portion of the province calls the Vancouver Canucks. checkmate? don't think so.

Maybe, but the province of Manitoba thought enough of their team to lose it to the hockey hotbed of phx

I'd normally be considering a witty comeback but for someone who lives in Fort Wayne the joke sort of writes itself.

Truth always hurts and makes "witty" comebacks harder to come up with so you pull the I'll make fun of the smaller city hockey fan card....brilliant!

BTW, since we are making fun of cities, how many years are you serving for helping destroy a part of yours???
