Canucks were already an elite team, now they have an elite prospect pool to go with it. Their young talent is ridiculous: Kassian, Boho, Shinkaruk, Gaunce, Jensen, Schroeder, Subban, Lack. An embarrassment of riches coming down the pipeline.

They average out the signing bonus with the salary. If a guy signs a 5 deal with a 2.5 mill salary and a 12.5 signing bonus his cap hit I,s 5 mil.

The signing bonus means nothing, other then some teams can't afford the money up front

I'm commenting about the fact that you'd gladly pay Getzlaf and Perry $8.5 million, with physical play being your reason, yet you think the Sedins are only worth $4.5 million.

That's fine that you prefer physical players, but that personal preference should have no part in what the Sedins value is.

Whether you like their style or not, the Sedins are unquestionably $6.1 million dollar players.

To say they're only $4.5 million players because they don't play physical is ridiculous.

Also, Ben Eager also has a ring—do you think that means he deserves more on a contract than a comparable player simply because if that reason?
