Once the Sedins are locked up long term then Gillis will have his core of Luongo and the Sedins to build around. With the distraction of contracts no longer looming, the Cups will come fast and furious for the Canucks. Sedins will retire and then Boho and Shinkaruk will replace them and win more Cups. Future is bright in Vancouver. - hankthetank

You're quite the logician there, Myron.
If they'd be "worse off with each other" then why would they "refuse to play on opposite teams"...?
You know, assuming they'd be better off, like you suggest...
And what the hell are "opposite teams"...? Would that be like the Calgary Flames and the Kootenay Ice? Or the New Jersey Devils and the Anaheim Angels...?
Or do you mean opposing teams?
Words.
Learn how they work before using them. - Fosco
Myron should replace that y with an o |

I would gladly swap the Sedins for Perry and Getz even at 8 mil . Both are all around players and bring toughness and grit. If the Sedins played that style no one would be questioning their worth. - VANTEL
I think they'd work better in a Torts system that's for sure.
I wonder if everyone's numbers will decline under Torts because, you know, spending energy blocking shots wins games and stuff. |

Does anyone know who scored the Canucks 2 goal thus far in the prospects game? |

So the differences in physical play between the Sedins and Perry/Getzlaf are worth $4 million a season to you?

Why would you consider facts as trolling?
If I said "The sky is blue" would that be trolling?
Canucks were already an elite team, now they have an elite prospect pool to go with it. Their young talent is ridiculous: Kassian, Boho, Shinkaruk, Gaunce, Jensen, Schroeder, Subban, Lack. An embarrassment of riches coming down the pipeline. |

The Ring they wear might have something to do with it too. Show me 10 fans that would take Hank over Perry at any price? |

They average out the signing bonus with the salary. If a guy signs a 5 deal with a 2.5 mill salary and a 12.5 signing bonus his cap hit I,s 5 mil.
The signing bonus means nothing, other then some teams can't afford the money up front |

That's not fair. Perry and getz were just supporting cast. Put Selanne, Pronger, Neidermeyer x2, McDonald all in their prime on a team with hank and Danny and im gonna say the sedins have a couple cups.
Honestly the "cup" argument is the most laughable argument in hockey talk when comparing how good a player is |

That's not what I'm saying.
When did I ever say anybody would take a Sedin over Perry? You fabricate this type of stuff way too often...
I'm commenting about the fact that you'd gladly pay Getzlaf and Perry $8.5 million, with physical play being your reason, yet you think the Sedins are only worth $4.5 million.
That's fine that you prefer physical players, but that personal preference should have no part in what the Sedins value is.
Whether you like their style or not, the Sedins are unquestionably $6.1 million dollar players.
To say they're only $4.5 million players because they don't play physical is ridiculous.
Also, Ben Eager also has a ring—do you think that means he deserves more on a contract than a comparable player simply because if that reason? |
