... Alfy is 8 YEARS OLDER?!?!?!

Definitely not a comparable. That's almost like saying Brodeur and Lundqvist are comparable right now.

No chance H/D take a pay cut. Dream on.

He had the same stats as the 32 year olds last year.

I think a fair deal is

7
6
5
4 Option year

22 mil 4 years 5.5 hit.

These two ARE the Vancouver Canucks.

Why do Vancouver fans spit venom at you if you suggest the Sedins aren't the best players in the league...and then they go and price them as mediocre talent.

You want to pay them the same as Garrison? Booth?

Way to overdramatize. What time is your next performance I will make sure I am doing something else.

Most people agree they are the best Canucks and a few want to see them here but at less the cost. .

Well I guess 5.5 seems to be the magic number.

What would you offer them on July 5th (or whatever the date is now)?

- IanEsplen

4 yr 20m or 22m max -

Need a big gritty mofo dirty, slashing, hair pulling winger to play with them.

1 of these guys would do it!!!

Best line ever.

They could get a haircut and dye hair red and they would fit right in

With this new CBA, could a team offer them $21 mil for 5 years and give them each a signing bonus of $10 mil? Would this make it $31mil over 5 years with a cap hit of $6.2 mil or only $4.2mil, signing bonus not counting against the cap?
They keep changing the rules when I finally start understanding them

Well if we're going by last years stats alone, Kadri is definitely worth $6.5m per year because he and Hank posted 44pt and 45pt seasons last year.

Who the (frank) cares about their age?!?!

4 years, 30m would be appropriate. Most swedes want to go back to Sweden and raise their kids before they start middle school. Naslund was a mentor of the twins and he went back at 35.

Maybe A LITTLE on the high side, but probably the most accurate assessment made by a Canucks fan here.

Weiss signed

2013-14 $4,000,000
2014-15 $4,500,000
2015-16 $6,000,000
2016-17 $6,000,000
2017-18 $4,000,000

I'm no math guy, but that looks pretty close the Sedin types of deals that have been pitched.

I think it's really up to the twins as to what they think is fair. If they want $7m, you give it to them. If they'll take less, great. Either way, I'm more than comfortable with anything 4 years or shorter.

It's basically their last contract so they're going to want term and dollars if you;re being realistic. The Nucks will probably get a hometown discount, but they're not going to 5.5 unless they're really good guys, which they are. We're talking about 2 Art Ross winners here, I'd say their market value is 5 years at 8 mil, maybe they sign for 5 years at 7 if they're generous.

5 years 27.5MM

They'd still be the highest paid players on the team (for now) and they get to retire as Canucks

So they did close that loop hole, eh? Ah well, I wouldn't offer the Sedins much more than $4.5 per for 7 years. If they don't take it than no biggie cuz you could still find some decent players with that kind of money.
Its a tough call to sign these players because they are a package deal, there is no way you could just sign one. You would be committing a good chunk of cap space for the twins on the down slope of their career.

Nothing. You'd have to completely overhaul your top 6 to accommodate them. I really think that Vancouver is their only realistic option.
