Because I look at how many games he was a key point in winning and I think he took control and won mostly by himself. Now if you want to lose those 5 or 6 games a year to save a million and miss the playoffs then be my guest.

Well then I guess you should give Kadri that $4.5 and tell Franson to take a hike then. Kadri is an arrogant punk that has been told his whole life that he is awesome and thinks he is worth more than what he actually is.

So I guess the stats I put up must mean nothing if I am an Oilers fan then.

no i just meant that ur team has giving contract out for potential instead of what they have accually done.... kadri hasn;t done anything yet. doesn;t deserve anymore then 3 mil at this point.... if u can him anymore it would be for his potential and not what he has done.

Does anyone know if Bo and Hunter are in this afternoons game vs the Oilers?

Hope so, they got no defense and have looked horrible so far this tourney, could be the perfect game to see the kids offensive talents.

Hunter has had a brutal camp so far. Poirier on the other hand...

Nothing they'd consider

Serious question ,what would you pay per year and term to have the Sedins on the Oilers?

They don't have the room! Too many stars on the Oilers already...

So if signing bonuses always counted against the cap, how do you explain Shea Weber's contract?

Am I missing something here? This CBA stuff is confusing.

You are really bad at math. What is so confusing about this?

How do you figure? One decent half season is not worth $4.5 for 2 years. I say $3m at the very most.
Hodgson might be worth a tad more at this point but neither are worth $4.5 for 2 years.

I agree

when u are looking at player coming off the entry level deals u can;t just look at ppg... u need to look at games played.

6 - 6.5 per seems fair. I think 3 year 18m extensions seem pretty good for both sides.

Double post... Anyway also depends on how pod the Canucks are this year. If they take a step back they may now want to lock them up Long term.

Cap hit without bonus, $7.857 for 14 years, as per capgeek. If the signing bonus counts against the cap, as was previously mentioned, then the cap hit should be $12.714, no? That is the part that is confusing.

The signing bonus is included in his salary (1st yr. 13 mil signing bonus + 1 mil in salary)

@Esplen I'd disagree that the Sedins are "regressing". Having Daniel get knocked out by Keith kind of drags Daniel and Henrik's numbers down that season. Having no other centremen on the team this last season dragged down Henrik and Daniel's numbers even further. By removing so much of the Sedins' offensive zone time by having them take defensive zone faceoffs so much more often it really hampered their chances of duplicating big point total seasons.

With (hopefully) Santorelli, Kesler and Richardson around, hopefully the Sedins can see the bulk of their action back in the offensive zone this season and thus rebound from 2 down seasons.

Ok, I wasn't seeing it that way but it makes more sense. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Nothing. Great players but the Oilers need functional toughness and defence.

I think there would be a lot of the same comments as yours, coming from other teams.

I mean don't get me wrong, they'd make the Oilers as well as a number of teams undoubtedly better, but for the price they will command I think the Oil would be better off spending the money elsewhere.

The Sedin's may well have to face the reality of splitting up.
