He has the worst voice in broadcasting hands down. I would love for Seabass to kick his @ss. Or Shawn Thornton for that matter. He just needs to retire already. - AlexF
He did an interview with some Boston radio clowns a couple years ago and as a surprise they brought Shawn Thornton into the mix. It was pretty funny how he whined about it for weeks afterwards else.

Burrows?
I think I meant somebody a little bigger..maybe somebody that doesn't get abused by Brad Marchand.
Burrows at 181lbs...just isn't the gritty/slashing/hair pulling monster I was thinking of...Burrows could step in and help out if Cory Conacher started roughing them up maybe - Garnie
Not sure where you're getting your size numbers from.
Burrows came to camp at 6'1" 196 last season. Not huge, but also not small.
And has never been abused by Marchand. |

Thought they were only worth $4.5 - Fosco
IMO that is correct but I am caving to popular demand. If I had my way I would do a year at a time. |

I am still pissed that they don't wait until next year in the offseason to see what is available. That's when the best offers are available. - VANTEL
The best deals are in UFA... ?
Or do you mean the Sedins should wait to hear the best offer...?
So nice of you to worry about their financial well being. |

Kadri deserves a 2 year 4.5 mil per. Same as Hodgson - VANTEL
So you think Hodgson and the Sedins are worth the same amount of money, and are at the same level of play...? |

Hunter has had a brutal camp so far. Poirier on the other hand... - whipper334
Hunter has not had a brutal camp at all. He and Bo have played well.
Poirier was a little better in the last game. |

So you want to sign when they are going to play for a coach they never played for and open up the vaults?
Nice of you not to care for the Canucks finances.
We can both play that game. We both know we sit at opposite sides of the fence.I don't think the Canucks have the supporting cast to compliment the Sedins style nor am I am fan of that style. I want to go in a different direction you want to stay the course .You are not going to change my opinion and I will not change yours so there is really little to discuss. |

Here is your equation, you will have to fill in the numbers.
(F+L) + (DXC) / 3 = X
F = Foreplay time
L = location (driving time)
D = dining time
C = food consumed
Not taking into account shower time between visit. - A_SteamingLombardi

This year I think the Sedins are better but don't get further in the playoffs
The following year I think they have similar impact on their teams
The following year I think the Sedins are 2 nd line players
The following year I hope the Sedins hang them up
So yea. |

The bottom line is that if the Canucks let the Sedins walk, they need players to replace them.
The Sedins will likely re-sign for similar money ($6.1 season).
If they let the Sedins walk and try to replace them through UFA, they'll likely only have similar money available.
So instead of the Sedins, they'll get two David Clarksons...
YOU DON"T BUILD A TEAM THROUGH UFA.
I know we disagree and likely won't change each other's mind, but if you keep spewing nonsense about the Sedins, I'll keep commenting on it. |

Yeah but you are wearing a homer hat. You have to realize there have been a few fans here today saying they are very nice players but I would't pay them that much to play on our team ,that they would want a different type of player for that money.
Of Course they are going to be around 82 pts again this year. They pass the puck back and forth to each other for 20 minutes an night . They get the prime offensive zone starts and the lions share of the PP . They bloody well better get their point. That being said leaves little else chance for other players.
That is my view of the twins. Nonsense or not no one will change my opinion . |

Your opinion is based on flawed logic.
There are fans who've said that their current salaries are too low, as well.
In fact more have proposed higher salaries than lower ones. |

It would be interesting for Ian to do a poll and leave out the Vancouver fan base to see what the opinions of the general hockey fan is towards the twins and how much they would pay for a new contract to have them play on their team if cap space were not an issue. I think you will find a 50/50 split of fans wanting to sign them and fans saying no thanks. |

That's not good cap management. I'd love to be able to reward certain players for leaving some money on the table on their previous contracts, but unfortunately in a cap structured league that's not a luxury teams have, unless they want to hurt themselves in the process. In all honesty we should all be advocating for a reduction in cap hit. |

A big complaint about the Canucks is secondary scoring. I honestly don't think it is a typical well balanced set of forwards at this time. I also think if the Sedins are rewarded with a 7 mil per year contract that would leave 1 mil to find their complimentary support. If you give them 5 each seeing they come as a package then that gives you 5 mil to find their support. |
