Who do you think wins the goaltending duo? I know you guys are really high on Reimer and I think he has shown so far to be a solid goalie but I think Bernier is just as good. I also think the break out player for the Leafs this year will be JVR I think he really blows a lot of people away this year.

If Reimer could play that (frank)ing puck, he would be sound...but (frank) he plays it like it's on fire!!!! If Scrivens could have made some saves...his stick handling could have won him the crease IMO.

So if Bernier can play the puck, it will be his crease to lose I believe.

If there is one thing I don't deny about the signing is he will fit in well with the hard nosed hockey the Leafs play and Randy's style. But at over 5 million for 7 years that's just sticky. I doubt the amount of success he will have in Toronto for a few reasons. He is tougher then Dion but he usually gets it handed to him when he fights and that dropped off significantly because he started to think he was a scorer. He isn't the greatest skater. He doesn't have good vision ( his 30 goals and 16 assist will attest to that) and He never put up points like that until the Devils hired is former jr coach Deboer so I am very interested in seeing how much the familiarity of Deboer played into his success as he has never been on pace for 30 or hit 30 goals with anyone else behind the bench.
