aw. i've found that's actually an important part of a dog's day. max would run straight there and start barking at this solid fence. he couldn't even see what was on the other side. but sometimes.. sometimes.. a dog would bark back. and i think that's all max needed.

he keeps trying to run to another part of the yard to get there and runs into a wall of snow. comes back to the spot i clear for him (the fort), looks at me and barks at me.

he does get up on his hind legs to bark once in awhile so he can see over the snow

Heavy T-Storms right now. But it's helping keep the house cool with a cross breeze. More importantly, it's clearing up a lot of the pollen. It's been warm enough, and my allergies have been acting up enough that I've been having to run my AC for the past week.

Some cities will see their lowest temperatures in more than a century as high-impact winter storms roll across the country.

Temperatures about 50 degrees below average occupy an enormous swath of the central United States, stretching from the Rockies to the Mississippi Valley and the Midwest. At least 15 states could see temperatures of minus-10 or colder, while lows near the U.S.-Canada border flirt with minus-40.
