Bill needs to email Hextall and ask him what he has against Gags |

the other thing is the idea of Hall centering Rosebud and Rinaldo as the fourth line doesn't excite me at all
I wonder if Laughton might outplay Rinaldo and if that spot is available.
I know they bring different things. but is Rinaldo's spot assured? |

I don't think it's Rinaldo's spot up for grabs. The organization seems to believe in Zac's talents (easy, Brad).
Adam Hall is the guy who could lose a spot to Scott Laughton, but he's bigger than Scott and his track record on faceoffs is rather good. |

I like the Ben Franklin zombie on the mask.
Weird but cool. |

Not a fan. I don't mind zombies -- they make a great foe/minion in my RPG's -- but I find they're too much of a fad right now and my opinion is that zombifying our forefathers is disrespectful. Just my opinion. YMMV. |

I agree to an extent, but the graphics and art work are really cool IMO. |

Have no qualms with the artist's skill, just the subject matter. |

I see your point. My fave goalie masks for the team have always been the ones that pay homage to great tenders of the past like I think it was Hackett who had Hexy, Pelle and Bernie on his mask. Loved it. |

I can respect that. The founding fathers have been taking a beating lately.

Steve Mason is from Canada... he probably did it on purpose. |

You are correct.. We love pissing off you Yankees anytime we can. lol
All joking aside, I have been to Philly 5 times now, and second to seeing the Flyers play, I love the history. Independence Hall and the Liberty bell etc.. the old city buildings, even the USS New Jersey that is docked nearby. Fantastic! Love the City. |

The way politicians poop on the founding fathers on a daily basis is much more disrespectful than an artistic rendition of a goalie mask.
You have people in Washington, actual representatives for citizens, who don't even understand the Constitution.
Not to go off on a tangent or anything... |

Had one of the goalies had a contemporary scoundrel in representative's clothing on their masks, I would've commented accordingly. Seeing as the subject presented was Mason's mask, I commented on the topic at hand. |

I very strongly disagree, no disrespect detected. Just my opinion, of course. |

Of course. I just feel that, contrary to popular belief, some things are sacred. The men that built this great nation -- and men like Abraham Lincoln & Dr. Martin Luther King who inspired change for the better -- are among such things that deserve more reverential treatment. |

Understood. I just don't share a concept of sacredness (for mortal men, anyway), not in regards to satire, comedy, or otherwise benign purposes. Now, if it's to convey a malicious message, my tune is different.
Maybe it's the times I've grown up in. Maybe I'm an iconoclast by nature. I dee kay. |
