I don't think Hall has the 4th line Center spot locked up. - MJL
Not locked up, but he is the favorite, and will have to play his way out of that spot IMO. |

STOP SAYING IT! - -davies-
Ok, sorry.
I wonder if we'll ever hear what really happened with Gagne this summer.
He went from seemingly having a spot when they opened space with putting Prongs on LTIR, to sorry we are not offering even a PTO.
Bill hinted that Hextall may have swung the decision.
I didn't get the impression that it was going to be a problem with Gagne asking for too much money.
Maybe the fear of injuries and his past history was the biggest thing.
The whole thing is just off.
I'd like to hear a better explanation at some point.

Random thoughts...
Why doesnt the NHL revamp the way the draft order is picked? Its baffling me thinking about it at work. Follow my thought process here. If you make it by points earned after official playoff elimination, teams that suck still have an advantage cause they will be eliminated first thus more games to earn points in. Imagine having what would otherwise be a meaningless game at the end of the year turn into whether or not your teams gets the first overall pick? - JFlyers00
very interesting. for me, i just don't like rewarding teams that suck with automatic high draft picks. you suck at the right time, for long enough, and you're the penguins (obvious example). being rewarded for losing. still have to make smart choices at the draft, but i don't like the advantage. come up with a fair system and take final regular season position out of it. |

I was thinking that all over again when I IMDB'd the movie to make sure I had the character's name correct. |

It is! After watching it again recently, I was moved to change my avatar. Of course, for some reason yesterday I was inspired to read all of MJL's posts in Wallace Shawn/Vezzini's voice. (still doing it)
I was so disappointed my wife was "Meh" on it. I thought, "It's a classic! A CLASSIC!!! Waaaaaah!" I cried myself to sleep that night. That was last Friday.
...Except that's not what he said: he distinctly said "To Blave," which we all know means "to bluff." - Miracle Max

I don't disagree with that. But you're using that as a reason why Laughton shouldn't make, or won't make the team. And in my opinion, that's not the case. |
