Pretty good comparison, Hall is a bit better on faceoffs, while Betts was better on the pk. - BiggE
Wow if this comparison holds up I'll be happy. I liked Betts! |

Brendan Morrow is still unsigned.
Last year around the deadline I was advocating for adding Morrow + Murray in this off-season to boost the team's depth, grit and the proper veteran leadership.
I'd welcome Morrow on to the team. The young crew still needs to be groomed to play the right way.

Awesome player, by far my favourite when compared to Dowd or Metropolit.
At the time I was advocating for Sjostrom, who was the linemate of Betts on a really dominating Ranger PK. |

Metropolit would have been awesome in this new Division. Would have owned it. |

All this debate over Laughton. It really should be quite simple. If he's one of the best 12 forwards during camp he should make the team. If he's not send him back to Juniors. - PLindbergh31

My 11 year old asked me the other day why the Atlantic didn't just stay the Atlantic while the Northeast and Southeast teams just merged to become the East Division -- or Conference, whatever the Seravalli they're calling these things. I told him, "Because that would make sense."
M4 Division names:
Atlantic -- features teams mostly from the prior Atlantic Division
East(ern) -- features teams mostly from the prior Northeast & Southeast Divisions
Central -- features teams mostly from the prior Central Division
Pacific -- features teams mostly from the prior Pacific Division |

damn that movie is so good
the entire thing is quotable - Crimsoninja
Best part? They basically used the lines from the book almost line for line. If you read the book it reads just like the movie (with some hysterical additions)... Helps when you actually keep (and listen to) the author while writing the screenplay. |

Whatever happened to the rumor that Steven King (yes, the horror author) was going to direct the sequel? Probably got the door shut on him, Gagne-style. |

Your sons plan makes far too much sense, and is way too logical. Unfortunately Skip, he has no hope of ever becoming NHL Commissioner. |

No, not at all. People are just putting that in my mouth.
So lets look at this. What positions are available. 3rd line wing, and 4th line wing. I know Hall can move to wing, but the reason we signed him was to take the faceoffs.
So to me he has to be able to out-play all the below to get a spot. Not play as well as them, but outplay them.
McGinn
Straka
Raffl
Noebels
Rosehill
Akeson - youarewrong
Well, Akeson is a top-6 player, so they're not really competing. And again, I said he has to be "one of the best 12," so, like you were saying, he has to out-play them. Otherwise, he would not be "one of the best 12." You're saying he has to significantly outplay them, and I'm saying he just needs to outplay them. |

Very few artists really grab my attention but if one of those two is attached to a film, series, or other I usually do try and check it out.
Both brilliant masters in completely different ways. |

I'm not really familiar with Whedon except for Serenity/Firefly (what the crap...show was amazing). How do you feel about Mr. Raimi and Orson "stop gay marriage" Scott Card? |

I would like to hear what Bill has to say on the situation. Gagne said he was willing to take a pay cut. It was rumored that Gagne was waiting for the Flyers to make an offer when they cleared space.
Bill, Do you know why the Flyers just completely dropped interest in Gagne? From previous blogs it seemed like he would at least get a tryout. Was this Gagne's doing after Cleary came in, or the Flyers just saying take a hike?
IMO a healthy Gagne is better then any of the other options we can throw out there. - youarewrong
Holmgren said during the STH meeting that he was in contact with Gagnes agent and spoke weekly. Im going to assume that Homer discussed the spectrum of senarios of him returning and not returning. I do not know this for certain, but I think that Homer conducts business in a professional and respectful manner rather than leaving a guy hanging in the wind |

The only thing I'm going to say about Orson Scott Card's political views is that most people born in 1951 or before are going to be conservatives.
Have you read Ender's Game? A really, really good book. It can be read as a light read for the fun of it or you can get sucked into some of the rather dark questions that the book brings to light. Sure you can read it as if it's Harry Potter, but it's so very not. I just hope they don't screw it up.
Sam Raimi I've enjoyed some of his work but he doesn't hit me in the gut. Some of Guillermo's images give me nightmares. The man breathes creepy/beautiful. I feel most of Raimi's work has been more geared towards mainstream. Which is not a bad thing, he makes more money and influences more people that way. I just see him more as a stepping stone to the dark side, he just doesn't live there.
Glad to know you liked firefly, I adored it!
Check out Dollhouse, I know sounds dumb but is really quite good. |

My conservative 91-year-old dad? No problem with gay marriage. It's no skin off of his teeth, he says.
