Have to agree the Dee bashing is getting kind of old. If you hate her work or whatever we have another blogger. Honestly I don't read most of any bloggers. I come to talk Isles and hockey, the blogs are just extra.

actually, someone who was a regular stepped up and offered to write his own blog. Eklund, to my knowledge did not recruit NYI178 but allowed him the opportunity to write a second Islanders blog after he wrote a few in the My Hockey Buzz area. Remember, this is a blog and no one gets paid except Ek. You or anyone else can submit a topic for discussion in MHB - it's not on the main page but any member can put their two cents out there for all the world to criticize or admire. Maybe you should give it a try....

I will have to get used to all the BLACK BACKROUND in this Arena.

Black seats, Black Rafters, Black walkways, Black Scoreboard. Everything seems to be absent of color. Why?

I've never seen a more drab or depressing looking Arena.

I hope it looks better in person then in pictures.

Is there any other professional sports facility that is as dark and depressing looking as the inside of the Barclay's Center?

While playing in Brooklyn will help us move from a small market to a medium market team, I hope ratner invests in seriously restructuring some parts

Whatever it is it's better then the sight lines in Quebec...

Please tell me when they suit up full time at the Barclay's, they'll have the clock over centre ice instead of the blue line.

The Union wants to Move the Scoreboard to Center Ice. Rearrange the seating for better sight lines. Paint the interior Blue and Orange, but Ratner wont let them.

Nope and its gonna suck for players killing a PP that look up at the time.

Maybe the Isles will figure something out and this will give us a bit of a home advantage! At least during the PP.

If you don't mind me asking what was wrong with the stadium in Long Island ? I've never been to a game outside of buffalo so I'm just curious why they decided to move.

I hate to say this but I guess the majority would think that the coliseum is outdated. No players wanted to sign here unless they were drafted by us, unfortunately. I guess the youth realized that we have something special. Nassau County actually screwed us over and refused to give us a new coliseum until we got a deal with Brooklyn then they decided to get a new coliseum for their own profit. It is all politics actually. We got used to it so at least Islanders didn't move out of New York so we have to say gracias to Wang

That sucks, at least it's still possible for most of the fans to go and see them still. It's kind of like us and the bills, the stadium isn't in the city but most people can still get to the games.
