I though COrrado and Tommernes played very well and almost at a NHL level .I think Weber looked good also.If they bring that level against NHL teams and players then either Bieksa or Edler become expendable so that we are not paying 4.5 mil for bottom pair Dmen and we can promote Garrison. The we can go after a top 6 forward

Shinkaruk is a freak. This guy is pretty much exactly what I was hoping Jensen would be this year. I'd be shocked if he didn't get top 6 minutes for his 9 game cup of coffee at least.

How was the game tonight I didn't see any of it

It is one pre-season game with a roster full of prospects ,so no one is jumping off brigdes . Some things that seemed evident.

Goaltending looks very bright for the next few years. We have a few Kids that can sure play some good D. Scoring is still a big issue and needs to be addressed before season starts.

A Prospects : Corrado Shinkaruk and Lack
B Prospects (close but need more time) :Horvat Gaunce Tommernes Lain
C Jensen the Ghost
D players (Bye bye ) :Biega Archibald.

Good bad and ugly

It is hard to have an effective second line when the center is in beast mode and never passes. I think our third line outscores our second line this year if Burrows and Kes are the second line .

We have a two man first line ,a one man 2 nd line ,and a 3 man 3rd line ,and a 0 man 4 th line. This is why we stopped scoring.

Put Kes with the twins they can battle to see who gets the puck. Trade for a second line center even if you need to do it with Burrows and Edler. Booth should be traded for a 7 th rounder or a regular buy out .

With AV relationship with Edler and Burrows Canucks should look into aquiring Stepan. In the words of our friend Scooby ,I love Burrows at 2 mil . At 4.5 Mil not so much. I bet he scores 15 goals this year.

NYR will probably lose Staal next year so Edler may attract Sathers attention. Or Booth and 2 x 3 rds to Islanders or Phx for a 7 th rounder, then Offer Sheet Stepan 6 years 5 mil per

Dude you're coming close to Booner level hate on Bieksa with your Kesler never passes posts. It's been one preseason game and while yes in seasons past Kesler seldom passed the puck he really didn't have good wingers to pass it to. Last night the wingers he was with were trailing the play as Kesler's speed makes it difficult to keep up with him and certainly you wouldn't expect him to wait or pass back would you?

But I guess that's what one scrimmage can do in fans' eyes these days...

I didn't think he was any more invisible than Horvat and Gaunce. Thought he was much better and stronger with the puck, as well.

Other than his beauty shot, wasn't too impressed with Shinkaruk either.

All these guys are going to have to bring more the next few games if they want to make this team out of camp.

Shinkaruk has a nose for the puck and he was buzzing a bit out there. He needs to add some muscle though because he loses pretty much every battle.
