Jensen played good in the prospect tourney. Time to start playing at the NHL level. - VANTEL
Jensen has played good the entire camp.
He was arguably the only one of the F prospects last night who played an "NHL" game. The other guys looked like JR players trying to do too much to make a team.
Jensen didn't stand out much, but he was playing a simple game, and looked like one of the only forwards on the team who was consistently trying to use his linemates.
He received the puck well, kept his head up, used his body for protection, and made the simple play to a linemate.
He was also regularly dumping the puck in and either getting of the ice, or continuing in on the forecheck. He was decent on the backcheck, as well.
Like I said, not a standout game, but he was making all the little plays that coaches like to see.
Shinkaruk made a couple of cute plays, and one resulted in a goal that probably wouldn't have gone in on most NHL goalies.
It was still a great shot, but Stalock was not set on the post as quickly as an NHL starter would have been.
Horvat looked alright on the forecheck, but was trying to hard to outmuscle opponents, and it wasn't as effective for him this game as it has been against smaller players.
Gaunce wasn't bad. He got rewarded for being in the right place, won a few draws, looked decent in his own end, and his passing wasn't too bad either.
None of these players had a bad game, but they'll all have to do more to stand out.

Yeah even we could score 25-30 playing with the Sedins, well at least I know I could. - CanUSA17
Come on. You know this is BS.
Burrows is a huge part of the Sedins success—wins puck battles for them, creates space, adds speed to the line, and knows exactly where to be.
Nobody has been as effective with them.
Kesler looked strong, and made some nice plays, but he needs to pass the puck more.
Burrows is a good linemate, and they had chemistry before Kesler started to read his press clippings and look at his SI spread too much... |

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I'm not a Burrows fan after his sh!t on the ice, which to me is more embarassing than Kesler's diving. Remember what the Sedin's did for that black guy that was on their line a couple years ago? He had a career year and I can't even remember his name now. If you can stay on your skates and be in the right position the Sedin's will find you. I'm not saying Burrows isn't a decent player but he's no where near the overall player Kesler is. Whether some of you want to believe it or not, and as hard as it may be for some to admit it, the only way the Cup comes to Vancouver is on the shoulders of #17. Not the Sedins or Burrows. Yes they have to play as a team and get scoring from everywhere and have Lu play well but if Kesler doesn't win the Conn Smythe then Vancouver doesn't win the Cup. |

The difference is that Burrows stopped the antics.
Kesler hasn't. And he's also becoming a clown in the media.
What does this have to do with playing ability, anyway?
If you can't see the difference between Burrows and Carter, I'm really not surprised by your faulty evaluation.
Carter scored all his goals parked in the crease.
Burrows is far less of a passenger, and actually contributes to the Sedins' play.
Regardless of whether you think Burrows is a sub par linemate for Kesler, he still needs to pass the puck and use his linemates.
It can't just be the Kesler show—there won't be results, and the guy will break down if he tries to do all the work. |

So you are saying Burrows is not a decent NHL forward? |

It was on the Seahawks with a touch of Canucks.
Wilson has the calmness of Hank. Lynch hits as hard as Kassian and Luongo is like Kam, because nothing gets past him.
That's the short version
With George Carlin about Todd
