Nope, the opposite. You get a 2 min penalty on top of the fighting if you remove your helmet. And if you instigate a fight and have a visor an additional 2-min.

It's an attempt to limit staged fighting. Heat of the moment stuff generally doesn;t see two guys take off the lids.

I was at the Devils game where someone threw a stinkbomb on the ice during OT. Game was delayed for like 10-15 minutes then (I think) Carter scored. It was obviously his fault, as I don't think Carle was playing.

Not until I see Raffl and Emery play.
It's only been 1 pre-season game.
And while Mason looked asleep for the first period he did settle down a bit, and Laughton and McGinn vanished for long stretches but again it's only 1 game.

Never doubt Mez. Really rooting for the guy, and expect big things from him this season.
