Yes. I was just commenting on Coach Dan's overly optimistic evaluation of the " best tandem in hockey." No way. - powerhouse
I wouldn't read too much into his comments there. He is just being a coach and saying coach things. It would have been bigger news if he didnt boast about one of his players. |

As I said yesterday, Harrington was very good in front of our goaltender. As a kid who has never played against The size and speed of the NHL, he was out there pushing guys out of fleurys face. If he's only 20 and doing that, imagine him 5 years from now. I may have expected a little more from his offensive game though, but that doesn't matter much if he plays well in his own zone.
I really liked Pouliot out there as well. Looked very calm and having scuds back there with him helps as well. Dumoulin reminds me of Martin. |

Is it Dan Cleary on Detroit's lineup? I thought he was a UFA and was going to sign with the Flyers. |

The video "Bobby Ryan talks Bobby Ryan" is pretty funny. It's on NHL network. |

Yeah, what else is he going to say? "Our goaltending is a question mark and we don't know how it's going to work out..."
With 2 years left on his deal, and no real other options out there, the team has to roll with MAF as a goalie and hope for the best. The good news is that they have a solid second option on their team. |

Good news on the Despres front. I missed that this weekend. I've always been high on him, and think this season is his chance to really break out. If he can start living up to potential, it gives the Penguins d-man core a boost in that 3rd pairing, and makes Niskanen completely dispensable. |

I guess him saying we have a very good goaltending situation. But "the best tandem in hockey right now" is a bit much frankly. Especially after MAF playoffs. |

Don't mind me. I just want to warn you guys that I will be going into a NHL 14 and will be posting less than I have been lately...if that is possible.
Don't worry Mr. Wilson, I still read daily. |

I can't lie. I am pissed that NHL 14 isn't going to be released on the new consoles. |

Add me, Cap1681
I'm not too worried about the new systems. The first run of new games usually aren't the greatest. It usually takes developers a year to really understand and get the full potential out of them. I'll wait for the first price drop to pick one up. |

I would argue that developers never maximized the potential of the PS3 hardware |

Check out a game called Beyond: Two Souls that is coming out in October. Quantic Dream hasn't made many games, but they always seem to push the envelope in the potential of a system. Heavy Rain was an awesome game, and Indigo Prophecy was a very underrated game for PS2. |

The new consoles aren't worth buying right away anyway, especially the xbox. The xbox isnt doing much except graphics and adding a bunch of tv stuff. I have a tv for tv i want a console to play games. The new playstation is going to be better and its cheaper. Looks like im going to have to get used to that awful controller again |

I just scorched the Penguins for 7 with the Oilers. Vokoun gave up 6 before being yanked.
Smid beat up Neal after Neal ran Hall, Kunitz beat up Petry after Petry hit Crosby and Mike Brown injured Malkin, but no one came after Brown. |
