Man the Rangers really remind me of the 90's NJ Devils.

By the team? Specific players?
- funmaster18

They haven't generated much as a team. Being out worked by the Rangers. A bit more intensity by the Flyers the last few minutes, however. Mason has been impressive. Same problems, passes in skates. Low percentage plays. The kind of things that are consistent with poor coaching.

Hartnell and Simmer on the same line is scary, and not all in a good way...you let them stickhandle the puck around the blue line, eyyyikes...they are not the smoothest with the puck on their stick.

True story. Vinny has the puck and they both are in front of the net. It's actually kind of funny. They can't be on the same line.

One glaring weakness of Morin, his release. On the PP he should have definitely shot a one timer rather than delaying and taking a wrist shot. Kid is a stud though

No, you've totally misread what I've said. I haven't come close to stating that their die has been cast when they were not drafted. I have no idea how you could get that from what I've said. They have to earn their chances. And regardless of where a player was drafted, or not drafted, if the player is good enough. Someone will notice, and the player will get an opportunity. And if they earn that chance with their play, they will get more attention and notice. I don't believe that a player is stopped from making the NHL due to the lack of attention they get.

One last time...

Do you believe that more undrafted players would make NHL rosters if they got the same level of attention, the same number of opportunities to show their worth, the same amount of coaching and personal attention as the high draft picks? It's that simple.

Not asking if they deserve the same amount of attention. Not asking if they will be noticed by other teams or not. Not asking if you think they are stopped from making the NHL due to the level of attention they currently get. Simply asking if you believe more undrafted players would make NHL rosters than is currently the case if they got all the same advantages as the high draft picks? Yes or no?

A typical bad goal in the final minute of a period. Nice redirection by Powe though ...

Chris Pronger was about 185 pounds as a rookie in Hartford, Holmgren said. Morin is already 211.

HE'S GONNA BE BETTER THAN PRONGER!

Typical Pinotch. Spearheading the charge to put unrealistic expectations on the kid in the media. Putting it out to 85% of the fanbase who think now if the kid gets sent down hes on his way to bust.

I have some faith this time the Flyers brass dont intend to rush the kid

I agree with a lot what you're saying. The Flyers breakout has struggled, and they haven't played with a lot of forecheck pressure, nor generated a lot of offense. But it's a hodgepodge of players, and it's Pre Season. They're playing a very basic style of Hockey. Not sure if you can blame the Coaches right now. I'm more focused on looking at individual players, rather then looking for a cohesive team effort.
